    Ferroviário Maputo is the new Mozambican champion after beating Desportivo Maputo 68-66 in the final played last Sunday.

    Former champion Maxaquene grabbed the third place with a 74-52 win over Ferroviário Beira.

    The remaining first team is composed by Custódio Muchate (Ferroviário Maputo), Armando Baptista (Ferroviário Beira), Amarildo Matos (Desportivo Maputo) and Fernando Manjate (Maxaquene).

    Mozambique and China seals memorandum on Sports

    Mozambican athletes and basketball players are set to train on Chinese centers after the Memorandum of Agreement between China and Mozambique

    Mozambique and China signed on Monday, in Maputo, a memorandum of understanding whereby they will take joint measures to facilitate cooperation and exchange of experiences, and the technical training of Mozambican sports leaders.

    Yeah, normally there are news about all the former Portuguese colonies. Angola for instance is growing rapidly right now and has been catching quite a deal of attention here.

    Rik this is OT but how are u able to obtain the results of the leagues in Mozambique and Angola?
    Is it because both countries official language is Portuguese that makes it easier for u to get/find info. about their leagues?
    Does Portugal care about/follow up on news from those countries whether in regards to politics, economy, sports, etc...
