Where is Split, god damn it!

Split is somewere betwen deep shit and total colaps. They didn't even demand willd card because they can't pay it. Cedevita (factory) singed they will be sponsor of this league + they have money to pay for invitation so betwen them (Cedevita as club), Igokea Partizan and Dubrovnik it was easy guess they will get invitation:rolleyes:
Krka aldso didn't demand willd card. Only Cibona have more money then them and they finished 6 in Croatian championship behinde Cibona, Zadar, Zagreb, Split and Drubrovnik LOL. I just hate this club:mad:

I didn't know what was the situation with them, there was a rumor that some entertainment corporation wanted to manage the club and to put them back on the path of the glory days... Such a shame.
As for Cedevita (I like it, mmm), I'm not fond of instant clubs either. We will see interesting duel between Multivita (Hemofarm) and Cedevita.:D

P.S.
Did you see new half liter bottle of cedevita, you can buy it here on kiosk for 100 dinars(little bit more than 1 euro)? Rip off for kids...

no I only drink Cedevita from bag (lemon or orange):D You will see some new things with them. bad copy of NBA pre game show and they are paying "trubace" (don't know english word for that) to play retard and anoying music when they poses ball:rolleyes: Only good reason for visit their games is free cedevita

As for Split there were rumors about americans but you know how things work here. Split is trying to become private club (d.o.o.) and will see what will happen

Realno. The best way to refresh yourself, and orange is my thing.

That would be trumpeters or brass band, and yeah it sucks if it's like that.
I really hate that NBA style, it's so strange to me. But, when you look at it from the other point of view, when you don't have any supporters that can create tension, anything is appreciated...

It will be great if thay can pull that out, generally, it would be great for all big ex-Yu clubs if they can do that and generate more money, so they can compete on high level every year and make this Adriatic league more interesting.

Adriatic league should become much more interesting when there will be only 12 clubs competing... that also means 4 weeks shorter season and more importance to the national championships I guess...
along that the quality of basketball should rise, Rabotnički could be a refreshment in a matter of few years when they get a chance to become competitive...
Still the only way to increase the level and interest for adriatic league are strong Partizan, Zvezda, Cibona, Zadar, Olimpija, Bosna... preferably all those teams competing succesfully on international stage as well, in sold out arenas on top of that.

Very nice work, just few small editions

Steven Markovic is free agent but there are some chances that he will extend contract with CZ

Danilo Andjušić is shooting guard

Boris Savović is power forward

Andreja Milutinovic is one of the top prospects in FMP and most probably he will be their starter on SF position, also new head coach of FMP is Slobodan Klipa, while Stepandic is new coach of Metalac Valjevo

Both of Russian guys Kotishevskiy and Urazmanov are point guards, while Sepa is shooting guard

Marko Simonovic is small forward

Thanks, if you see anymore mistakes, just let me know.

Kotishevskiy is a SG, at least I was told so. I'll leave him there, he's probably a combo guard. As for others, my bad... my head hurts from doing this... :D

You are wrong here, mate - it was Zibirov who played. Golovin was his back-up. Kotishevsky himself spent last year playing much time as sf for Avtodor. But obviously his height (196 cm) isn't enough to be a forward in such league as Adriatic one. So he is a sg and no way he was brought as a primaliry playmaker

Instead of signing a frontcourt guard and a big man from overseas, I hope that Red Star sign two guards, and not any frontcourt guys from overseas this season.Thats where the deficit positions lie in the Red star squad.
Instead they should be looking to sign NEmanja Aleksandrov on PF IMO. Don't know where his whereabouts are nowadays, allegedly he was training with KKCZ this summer. Enormous talent,i would hate to see his career totally fade out.

Damnit, then either he will be a player of Union or he wont play serious basketball in a while.
Btw, what chances do you think Union has in keeping Ilievski and Begic?

PF: Šime Špralja - Domagoj Bubalo
C: Ivan Grgat - Darko Planinić

Headcoach: Hrvoje Vlašić
Roster status: Looking for C (Miro Bilan?) and maybe backup PG

Cibona-Princ resinged with Cibona so he is back up PG, also under contract are Hodzic and Kruslin. Depends on situation who will they get, but most probably they will be relised. Rummors: Zubcic and troha wants to get out of contracts and also they with Andric could be sent to Zagreb for Tomic

Zadar-Jure Skific (SF/PF 88. 203) singed for Zadar recentley and will be on roster. Also under contract is Marijan Cakuran but he and Sime Olivari for sure will be loaned to KK Borik, probably som other young players to. Batur over grove SG and for sure he is SF while Ruzic will be more used as C and Marino Sarlija as PF. Rumors: Bilan is suing KK Sibenik like some other players so there is big chance he will join them as free player. Maybe 12 player on roster to fill spot if needed will be Franjo Marasovic (C 92. 215) who they singed from KK Trogir

Zagreb-it will depend on deal with Cibona

Siroki: Bubalo is more of C and he and Planinic are expected to get minutes on court. so they are probably looking more for PF. There is very, very small chance Delas will be loaned to them. 12 Player on roster could be Boris Barac (PF 92. 203)

Kecman and Djekic should join Partizan in few days. We will also bring a Guard and try to sign Dasic.

Stevic should stay with Red Star. And i am not sure that Hemofarm has closed the roster. In my opinion they should try to bring in a good G-F, if they want to be in the mix for titel´s.

Forgot to praise you in the previous post if your are determined to keep updating the roosters. Thumbs up from me.Olimpija will keep Ilievski, he agreed on lowering his salary, while they will get rid of Mirza Begić (currently has three offers) because he is simply too expensive and does not want to lower his salary (500k€).

Are you sure about Kecman? I watched Todorić the other day and he said that they will bring only two more players. But, clearly, there is need for at least four more.
And what about Dašić, if he comes than we must bring domestic guard, which is impossible. There's nowhere near a good guard with our passport, who can play for reasonable amount of money(read: for nothing). What than?

What's your thinking on Gurović's return to Zvezda? Even though, it's not definite that he'll play there anyway...

Really tough question. On one hand Gurovic is my favorite active player. On the other he would most definetely had to play min 20mins meaning that he would choke either Keselj or Bjelica on SF and i dont want to see Bjelica play PG this season too even though he adds another dimension to that position. The problem is that Bjelica cant guard 20cm smaller players (guards) adequately.
Only way Gurovic and Bjelica could share SF time is if Keselj played SG, which is not his natural position and i believe he shows a whole lot more on SF. There is no way to transfer either of the three to PF due to captain dragicevic dwellings there.

Buducnost PG

Vranes and Maric have a serbian passport, so we have room for 2 more non serbian players.

Todoric said that Partizan will sign 2 more players and one young talent. For now it seems that Kecman will be the player for SF position and Djekic the young talent. And after them a Guard.

The situation with Dasic is not clear at the moment. First his agent Raznatovic was talking how Partizan has not the money for Daisc and that a few rich clubs are after him. Now he is still on the market and after Barca and Oly has signed Lorbek and Kleiza, it seems there is no more interes for Dasic. Now we have to wait if he will sign for one more year with Buducnost (because if not, he will be free next summer and that would be the worst case for Buducnost) or move to another club. Partizan is ready to get him on loan for a year, if he signs with a strong club. But if we buy him directly from Buducnost, then he must sign for 3 years. If he and his agent are not ready for this, he will not be signed. IMO we are not able to pay more then 200k for Dasic to Buducnost at the moment. So a solution would be that after we sell him Buducnost gets 50% of the buyout. With him we would have a great team togehter. Without him we would be also strong, if we find the right Guard.

Any news on Aleksandrov from the Union Olimpija staff/PR or insider info?I saw him on one practice. He is looking fine, although kind of afraid of serious contact during the game (thats obvious). I think he will be signed as third option on PF. I was told he will have contract that Olimpija will have option to release him at anytime they wish if he gets seriously injured again. In next days he will have medical examination, we'll see what doctors have to say.

Pankracije Barač will probably sign for Zagreb..

Dario Šarić will probably do the same with Zagreb after his deal with Tau Ceramica fell through..
Zagreb did a good job there..
another player which will bring them good money in the future..

regarding the Tomić issue..
Zagreb clearly won't let him go this season..
it's bad for him IMO, he needs to play some european club basketball otherwise he will simply stay where he currently is..

Zagreb clearly won't let him go this season..
it's bad for him IMO, he needs to play some european club basketball otherwise he will simply stay where he currently is..

he will sing 3+5 (that was probably only way the could get him) so he might leav them without buyout. about making money in future on kids. they also inked kid named Mario Hezonja born 95. who had profesional debut last season against Cibona with his Dubrovnik

Helios Domžale : Cedevita Saturday, 10.10.2009. 18:00

Bosna ASA BHT : Zagreb CO Friday, 09.10.2009. 20:15

Budućnost m:tel : Crvena zvezda Saturday, 10.10.2009. 21:00

Hopefully a new champion will be crowned in April.
My favorites to win the title ranked as per below:

1. KK Crvena Zvezda Beograd
2. KK Hemofarm Vrsac
3. KK Union Olimpija Ljubljana
4. KK Cibona Zagreb

Contenders, but needing a substantial leap to be made: KK FMP Beograd, KK Bosna Sarajevo
I dont believe any other team is able to even reach the F4 other than the mentioned.

*Note: unable to rank BC Partizan due to uncompleted rooster. I believe the potential additions to the Partizan rooster while prove crucial in outlaying their season outlook.

I can only laugh at this, man... Partizan is weaker than last season, but good enough for all the clubs that you mentioned. Red Star fans need to learn that one club have to have a good frontcourt to win titles(and the rest of the team, of course). And again, Zvezda didn't do squat for that matter. Do you realize how good are the rest of the teams under the basket-Zagreb, Partizan, Cibona, Olimpija, Hemofarm and FMP. Heck, even Cedevita have good frontcourt. You jumped into conclusion here and time will tell. Why do you have need to write such things and maybe later you'll have to withdraw your own words. I'm not saying that Partizan will win the title again, but you overwrote them to early. Putting Zvezda as first candidate for the title is little bit too optimistic... But, as I said, time will tell.

1. Olipija-by names should be strongest team by slight margin infront of Cibona and Partizan
2. Cibona.-for me we have strongest backcourt in league but very questionable frontcourt...It may depend to much on development of Andric and Zubcic. Perasovic admited he woud made difret team if he knew Bogdanovic can give imidietley impact.
3. Dule will cook somthing again no dubt about.
.................................................. ................
4. Hemofarm-Markovic and Macvan are one year older and they shold be stronger than last year
----------------------------------------------
5. Zadar-By roster they are weaker than last year especially at frontcourt and if they don't have "Tornado" as their 6th player I would put them much lower
5. Zagreb-kept last year MVP Tomic whos domination shold incrise even more whille adding Prkacin and togheter with Zoric and Stimac they have one of most balanced and strongest frontcourts in leage. In backcourt they have expiriaced and ofensevley talented team with Mulamerovic, Krstic and Simon. Coach and defense are their week spot
5. FMP-after long time didn't lost anbody important whille Labovic-Samardziski-Raduljica-Musli-Milutinovic are older ans should upgrade their game...lack of PG will hurt them
5. Zvezda-Time will tell but I see them litle bit weaker than last year
-----------------------------------------------------------------
9. Cedevita-instant club bought very interesting team but I don't see them better then posibility of placing in midle of standings
---------------------------------------------------------------
10. Buducnost-they seam lot weker than last year and their frontcourt looks thin
10. Bosna-good couch but shorthanded roster
10. Siroki-nicley balanced team
.................................................. ..............................
I won't rank Radnicki and Helios as they are unknown to me

Appreciating the time taken to offer us your ranking with explanations.

Regarding the quote, the two players are only part of the cake that KK Hemofarm disposes over. Perhaps key players, but the depth of this year's Hemofarm team is simply fascinating.

Mocking me is not gonna help Zvezda, but maybe you feed your ego that way. I'm cool with that. And I'm aware of my lack of writing and analytical skills, but you know and we all know that Zvezda's frontcourt have some very young and inexperienced players(on euroleague level, since they will have to play with some eurolague teams), in likes of Kikanović, Štimac, Bjelica(I assume that he'll help there) and some with very questionable quality, Dragićević and Stević. Dragićević simply sucks in defense and will probably be injured throughout the season...

Zvezda's fans and it's management didn't learn to be patient, that you can not rush things, because nobody can beat the system. Look at Oly for gods sake... I'm only happy that Zvezda reached to their youth categories for some of the best talents in Serbia, hopefully they will get their chance to play and upgrade themselves.

Stay cool, because there will always be the ones who'll differ to your opinion.

Dear fellow member,

Please be advised that i have nothing against you, but your seem to have some issues to deal with that are fan-related. I carefully followed your conversation with the member from Israel concerning Partizans matches vs American teams and you are showing the same stance again.
Although this was more evident in your previous two posts on this thread.
I made my assumption regarding the most probable winners of this year's NLB-and once again - as you said- time will tell. Appreciate the more objective post as the one quoted.

Sometimes I can get club-obsessed, but NEVER self-obsessed like that Israeli guy. If you followed that thread, you know how he behaved. I'm not defending me, but I have the right to explain me. Two times repeatedly, he said that Partizan was humiliated. I found that very insulting, because he not only insulted Partizan, but he insulted Serbian basketball. We all know how tough is to play against NBA teams, which are physically on higher level. And the games are played with their rules, which not helping either.
Partizan was sent there to represent euroleague and Serbian bball, which it deserved no matter what people here think. And we both know how Serbian bbal is functioning, in very low conditions, constant struggle for money and even if they find it, it's nowhere near euroleague and very far from Maccabi's standard. So, we got beaten in both games on tour and it was expected. Maybe with lesser margin, but Partizan is not only one that lost with 30 point difference, remeber what happened to European stardoms Pao, CSKA and many, many more... And one more thing. I didn't see him talking about humiliation on Real and Oly threads, but sure, he can point his cock at little Partizan. I felt the need to defend the club I love, you can surely relate to that.
Enough about him, I don't want to end up in some painful discussion again...

I can only apologize, if you feel insulted by my words. I don't have problem with that, nor with you. I was just irritated that you wrote-off Partizan that easily and how you put Zvezda as a main contender. It's a little bit arrogant for me, no offence.

Cheers

Zadar crushed Olimpija 79:59 (http://www.adriaticbasket.com/stats.php?gameid=5&sez=) in first round. Total humiliation for Olimpija. Zadar wasn't that good as Olimpija was bad today. I hope it can't get worse than this. Zadar looks great, they are togather for pre-season for already 2 months so no wonder they looked much better as a team than Olimpija who is in full roster for last 10 days.

Partizan - Cibona 51-64

This is just a proof of the rule that the exceptions are there only to confirm the rules..
exception in this case were last three years when Partizan was better then us and we couldn't beat them in Belgrade eventhough we have been beating them everywhere without any problems almost the whole decade before that :p
seriously, we played bad and still won comfortably without being seriously threatened by Partizan during the whole game..
and if this game didn't sound the alarm for them, then they are lost..
if Partizan doesn't sign couple of players they will be a laughing stock of euroleague the same way they were with those 2/12 records two years in a row..
they need a quality PG and they need a good PF asap although a quality SG, SF and PF wouldn't hurt them either :p
Tomas after only a week or so of training proved he will be a leader of this years Cibona.. hopefully injuries will stay away from him this year and he can prove his value..
Bogdanovic played serious minutes without any offensive contribution but played his role perfectly subjecting himself to the team play..
Zubčić played again, not as effective but playing time is important for him..
once again I repeat, I wish economical crissis would affect us every year..
I'l repeat that again when we will lose badly, and that will surely happen this year.. but it doesn't matter..

Samardziski is not worth more than 200k-300k. Covic still lifes in 2007-2008 where huge money was investet in european basketball. This year nobody is ready to buy his players for the price he wants. Samardziski has not the quality to play for a high level club in europe. And only this teams are able to pay huge buyouts. For a team like Roma he is to expensive. They can easily find a american for 350-400k that is a better player. But perhaps Olympiakos will visit them once again and buy Labovic or Samardziski for 500k.:D

Radnički is not that bad. One of their best players, Vuksanović, was injured and didn't play against Budućnost. But, that can't be excuse for this result. Muta Nikolić is really good coach, I assume he will fix some things and get their heads together for the rest of the competition.

we won our first game in Vršac against Hemofarm, first one ever..
in five tries before today we lost, four of our losses were by double digits..
until today :D
great game by Marko Tomas and Jamont Gordon but especially great game by youngster Leon Radošević.. he was the key ouf our win today..
he hustled with Marjanović.. great..
Graves with another poor game, and Perasović was right after the Barcelona game..
we don't need an american player who is playing like this..
he is our most expensive player and is playing like shit..
our managament needs to find the way how to fire him without losing too much money..
5-0 and at top of NLB league..
great start for this team..

Helios Domžale : FMP 73:80
Hemofarm STADA : Cibona ot 94:96
Zadar : Partizan 77:66
Bosna ASA BHT : Široki HT Eronet 64:75

Crvena zvezda : Radnički 100:101
Zagreb CO : Union Olimpija 77:67

Zagreb and Radnicki making some upsets for now

Zadar won against Partizan as usual at home but I'm afraid lack of big man will stop them to repet last year in Uleb cup. Partizan lacks of shooters.

two teams from Zagreb at the top of NLB league..
that has never happened before, not for a single day in NLB league..
from what I'm reading we fought back from 11 point deficit in third quarter to beat Zadar at the end..
great thing for a young team, that is the only thing that will bring back nonbelievers into the hall..
and it should be a great confidence boost before do or die game against Žalgiris on wednesday..
Radošević again with big minutes, Bogdanović as well..
Graves with a second positive game in a row, it's probably snowing in Zagreb atm..:D

Game was ugley untill last quater with lot of mistakes from both sides. Turnig point happedn when crowd wisthled against Graves who didn't wannt to pass to open Bogdanovic and made turnower whille dribling against 3 men. Latter Graves showed some character and made few great individal plays, then Gordon folowed him. It was great to see them with wide smile after few great plays. Later they bouth burned from desire and made few bad plays from trying do to much. I'm happy to see them burnig from desire, now they just need to find focus. Later Peras put Tomas in game who scored about 10-12 points in last 4-5 min. It was great decison because Tomas was bad before that, altgho Zmago adapted to late and didn't switch Rancic from Tomas in time. It was clear that Tomas still don't have strenght. After few plays he looked like he is going to suck all air in arena:D Peras was also meking good decisions by calling time-out's with perfect timeng and calling right plays at the end of game.

On the other hand we defentley miss Bagaric to close paint, and one big man who can bring inside-outside so Peras could complet ofense and defense. Leon if fighting like a lion and he defends pick amazeing but it is clear that he still missing strenght whille his positioning and timeing on boards needs lott of work so he could be better rebounder and being able to close paint. In ofens he defenetly can't do anything but dunk, but at least he isn't makeing stupid things like Luksa

I'm generally very fond of Repeša, but I still don't know what was in his head those days... He made a very bad call.

This team of Partizan is very good, I'm thinking it's just a matter of time when they'll start to play as team. It's visible that Dule put a lot of pressure on them and they are in process of hard training, heavy legs and arms, they can't score jack-shit and so on... Everything should be alright in month or two.

Ok, it's just my opinion... I'm not fooling myself that this team is near the last year's, but there are things that can improve in this one. Rašić is, as good as he is, not even near last year's performances. Another center is needed badly, I know that, but Dule is used to work with what he's got. Dule should be more trustworthy in Milošević, 'cause he's one fine player... Vesely is also not even near to Vesely of last year.

And btw, I was referring to national championship, I'm sure that Partizan management said good bye to euroleague and NLB. But, who knows what's gonna happen.

40 points difference was the highest difference during the game..
37 points was the final difference..
I don't think/remember us beating them so hard ever..
they were flying really high before the game..
especially after we lost in France the way we did..
they landed really hard..
Bogdanović should really benefit from Graves's departure, there will be a lot more space for him and he won't be benched so easily (not that he was missing any playing time)..
he just needs to get some more self confidence and he will play the way he did yesterday on a regular bassis..
Goran Vrbanc was on the players list, I'm glad they called him back..
he has lost two important years in his development because of injuries, hopefully he can catch up with the rest..

well Tomas was a non factor today..
hopefully he didn't pick up some kind of injury or something..
I expected a defeat, that is why I had a bet on FMP..
but I didn't expect such a high defeat..
and although I don't want to take anything away from FMP's victory I have a feeling this was a statement game from Cibona players toward the managament..
something like: "we fulfilled everything and more that was put infront of us before the season now it is your turn to do your magic" or something like that..
not a real strike but close to it...

regarding that financial part, there are more and more rumuors that Atlantic group owned by mr. Tedeschi could become Cibona's main sponsor/owner..
that would be huge, they would keep Cedevita as their team as well..
Cedevita would serve as Cibona's second team which would be used for developing players, they would play in NLB league..
meanwhile they would invest and take charge of bussines in Cibona..
that would be a huge thing for basketball in Croatia and huge thing for Cibona because they are willing to invest a lot of money in Cibona since eventhough with a lot of problems Cibona still is the biggest sports brand in Europe coming from Croatia (when we speak about clubs ofcourse) especially since Jugoplastika doesn't exist anymore..
and having such a highly appreciated brand would open new markets for their food/drink/vitamins/whatever business they are running really successfully...

I didn't watched the match, so I really can't tell why Cibona played bad, nor how superior was FMP. But, win is win... And it matters the most for FMP, since they are playing very bad and inconsistent. This can help them escape from the bottom of the table.

As for second part of your post... At least you have somebody to invest in Cibona, no matter how much, just to bring certain stability which is maybe the most important thing.

Edit:
I was thinking how Partizan didn't have luck in previous years, money-wise. I'm sure that Partizan could won euroleague with the smallest amount of money invested in any euroleague club. With only 5 or 6 millions, maybe Partizan didn't need to sell Peković, nor Palacio and Kecman, add them to team that entered top 8 last year and Partizan could lift that euroleague trophy... Ok, I'm depressed now.:(

Ante Tomic played his last game for Zagreb today. One more talented player left NLB League for a big club. Other players will follow. But Tomic was one of the best. So almost all talented players of the generation 86-87 have left the NLB League. Only Tadija D(T)ragicevic is still with Red Star and dreams about a title.:D

Tomic will make his way in Madrid. Perhpas not fast but he will. He is a very good offenisve player so he will produce immediately in offense, but i think that he will have problems in the defense. Tomic-Velickovic will be a very nice duo for Real. With Messina around i´m sure they will win the EL in the next 3 years.

Red Star and Bosna Sarajevo are the biggest jokes so far of NLB League. Radnicki the biggest suprise. But if they doesn´t finish infront of FMP in Serbian League, they will be without NLB next year, becuase of the reducation from 14 to 12 teams.

I tottaly agree. I mean, if we could stop players from departing, than i wouldnt be suprised if i would see Partizan and Cibona in EL F4. With players like we produce, no ACB would be a match for NLB league :D

Vranes is not kidding?!
Almost a double-double from 17min after 1st half. To makes things even more impressive, his counterparty is another giant Bobi Marjanovic who is left with 2p and 0 reb so far. Though, I am confident that Marjanovic will own Vranes if gives adequate minutes.

all he has to do is to say to the referees that they won't be able to leave the country and that is it.l. done deal..
and I can't believe Mula's comment after the game..
I'm really dissapointed by his reaction..
I mean it's great for them to win because they are a croatian club and I always cheer for our clubs in NLB..
but not this way, this was pathetic..
this end result surely doesn't show their true face without Tomić..
if they don't react with some kind of signing I don't think they will get more then two wins in the final 9 games..

Of course it's obvious... It could pass if Zagreb is to be two class better team, but that's not the case. They're on very similar level, Zagreb and FMP, especially now when Tomić left.

After Matt Walsh scored for the win of Union Olimpija in Belgrade against Crvena Zvezda, he celebrated the victory in his fashion (after being provocated whole game): after the game he went to the part of the arena where Delije are (small group) and turned back, showed with his fingers on his jersey and name, and started saying stuff to them. :D

Like 50 of fans in the arena wanted to storm to the court and security had to push them away, they started throwing lighters, coins, even one chair fall on the court. :D Luckily Walsh didn't push his luck more and walked laughing his ass off to the lockerroom. :D

FMP - Helios 81:65

Cibona - Hemofarm 55:57

Partizan - Zadar 86:74

Široki - Bosna 90:62

Cedevita - Budućnost 83:71

Radnički - Crvena Zvezda 55:68

Olimpija - Zagreb 82:85

Again, very interesting results. Partizan had a very good game against Zadar, with Roberts leading the scoreboard and also having a very good index of 24. Cibona sucked again (2-23 for 3pt%), but Zagreb is still holding strong, with very important win in Ljubljana without their best player Tomić, who of course continued his career in Madrid. Zvezda beat Radnički, but their coach is still not impressed with his team, which he stated few times. They need to work harder and maybe... The rest is very well known phrase. And of course the departure of Tadija's not gonna help either.

Cibona sucked again (2-23 for 3pt%),yup, unfortunately players look "empty" after entering TOP 16 phase..
they had enough probably, they are still fighting for every ball and everything and just the fact Hemofarm won on the game on their last possession with us shooting 2/23 for three is not really such a bad thing..
especially since Hemofarm is a high quality team with a normal coach now..

but I'm concerned because we have a tough schedule coming up and by the end of this week we will probably be in 0-3 game slump and with the next week top 16 game coming up in Zagreb that is possibly a 0-4..
when you add to that a tough win at helios and a huge loss @ FMP..
well. you can deal with a bad situtation around the club while you are wining..
but once you start losing and you get into a slump you start to think about everything..
especially such a young team that we really are..
I really think our F4 place is in doubt...

but Zagreb is still holding strong, with very important win in Ljubljana without their best player Tomić, who of course continued his career in Madrid.when they are shooting like they did in Ljubljana there is nothing much you can do against them..
although when Olimpija got the lead finally in third quarter I thought Zagreb would dissappear from the court..
but they didn't...

rozic leadership is crucial. it's not just energy on defense he also used to take reponsibility when nobady could score in slupy minutes. I can't belive such a limited player like Rozic could become so good

Game was one of ugliest ever. After nobady could hit anything for Cibona Gordon starded to play 1 on 5 whille others missed cofidence and start forcing things when they had open situations. Hemofarm at one part played very good against zone pres defense and also they played very good when Cibona big man were poping out and double teaming oponent PG and those are main wepons of Cibona. Many cadet mistakes from both sides

When to teams play great game pople are saying to bad one team must lose, but for this game you can say to bad one team had to win.

down by 10 during the game..
down by 5 in last 90 seconds..
and a win in OT..

Here's what Željko Lukajić, Hemofarm's coach, said after the game...

We don't know how to play when the end of the game is uncertain or we rather don't have the concentration or the courage to shoot the basket. This team of Hemofarm is such that it can't penetrate inside. This only relates to our backcourt players, who are very good shooters. In crucial moments of the game, we were totally unfocused, we made some incomprehensible mistakes in defense. We will try to compensate for this defeat, but it will be very difficult.

But he didn't said anything of them being nutcases... How many tight games will they lose this season!?
I'm sorry, but if you're aiming high, you can't allow such defeats against much, much lower ranked teams. Especially at home!

well, they did won against Cibona with them scoring on the last possession of the game..
it wasn't their guard or SF who scored but still they found an open men near the basket..
and they should have won that game against Helios way before the final freethrows..
so I don't think that is the problem..
they have problem of relaxing against "weaker" opponents..
how else would you describe losing to Radnički (in both games) and now this..
losing to Helios at home when Helios was again without Zagorec, Zagorc and Delić..

and maybe, just maybe they don't have enough quality as we all thought they do..
especially when you add losing those 17-18 points difference in 10 minutes against Triumph when they needed a win..
they are simply not a team with a winning mentality..

They are simply not a team with a winning mentality.

They won in Zagreb, but lost dozen or more games in tight endings. Something is really wrong there. Yes, maybe a lack of quality, but I'm sure they've got it enough for likes of Helios, Radnički, etc...

What they have is ''palanački mentalitet''(small town mentality) and they sure do justify that statement with their results. And it's not their first time, Hemofarm is known for beating opponents in Vršac, but also being trashed in away game.

What is the deal with NLB and Euroleague quals for next year? There was a talk about 2 teams in quals if El qualf expanded to 16 teams. If only 8 again, will NLB team get in? And what will be the basis for it? Best national ass gets it or best club (after those that qual. directly, Partizan, Cibona, Olimpija)?

there are some rumors that adriatic league will get 1 or 2 spots in qualifications for euroleague...1 sounds more realistic...creteria is still unknown. there is posibility that each of highest ranked federation get one, or highst placed clubs besides Cibona, Olimpija, Partizan...but problem could be fact adriatic league will have 12 clubs and by rules of uleb tells that one league can't have more than 50% of teams in uleb competitions, but i'm not sure how they qulaify this league?

It is nothing new to see Hemofarm losing to teams like Helios or Radnicki at home. It is every year almost the same, but this year they lost to much of this games, plus the whole lost games against good teams with small margin. But on the other hand they are always able to beat teams like Olimpija or Cibona on the road. With 7 games rest we can say that they have a difficult schedule. But it looks like it is easier for them to play better and win against better teams than to play against like Helios.

Naturally. What could be more convinient for 20-22 year olds (or palayers of any age for that matter) than playing in a small "arena" crowded with the most primitive fascist village hooligans chanting "Kill the Serb(s)" throughout the entire game in the most chauvinist town of Herzegovina. Needless to say, this premis constructed an insurmountable obstacle together with the absence of starting SF Keselj and the unready starting SG Videnov.

Crvena Zvezda took formal farewell from playing in Eurocup next season with this loss. Our hope with int. club competition remains with wild-card and winning the eurocup where we for inexplicable reason(s) play better.

Here's my list: Štimac, Stević, Bakić, even Radivojević... Don't get me wrong, they are good, but only to fill some gaps and that's it. Basing a future on them is wrong.

they simply didn't take the game lightly, jumped on them right from the start and never gave up..

I watched a few EuroZvezda games, and I am said to agree on Stimac.
I thought he would become a clutch player for Zvezda with his heart and enthusiasm, but he just can't deliver.
As for Bakic, I think he was a bit stupid when he left Partizan for not having a big enough role... This goes to guys like Borovnjak too. A bad career move...

Bakić is, unfortunately, very limited player... He have big heart, can play very good defense, but on the offensive end he's so inconsistent, it's unbearable. Sometimes he can produce, but that's happening, like, once in a month(that's even good for him). And I'm glad he left Partizan, it's inexcusable for a PG to have such lousy offensive qualities...
And one more thing, I was always annoyed with the fact that he couldn't turn things in his favor being left handed. If you ever played bball, you know how hard sometimes is to guard left handed players.

Zvezda has enough scorers on its team(Taylor, Keselj,Videnov, Bjelica also showed when he's got the ball in his hand he can score plenty of points). Every team need player such as Bakic, he's playing great and he is a fighter. Hemofarm is nightmare for betting, luckley I don't bet to much:D

Zadar is playing like crapp wich suits their limmited team, and with presure of unrealistic Zadar fans that makes it even worse. They are to much scared of making wrong step. Hemofarm played very tough defens cosing lot of mistakes from Zadar, and oped a lot of fast breaks. Markovic aand especially Macvan were great. This game defenetly showed to me tha they have best team in league, but only when they wannt to be that

One iteresting note. One guy wrote on other forum. "At the end of game Hemofarm players coverd their hads and started to runnig out of gym as they expected coins and lighters from fans, but evryone started claping. They soped and couldn't belive what is happenig, after awille they started clapping back to fans"....like somebody once said...If there was no Zadar fans somebody should invent them:)

First of all, I wanna say that there is no doubt in my mind that Cibona is going to the F4.
Second, if I'm not mistaking, in theory Cibona can still finish 5th.
Partizan(-1) 15, Zagreb 13, Olimpija 13, Hemofarm 13 can (in theory) finish in front of Cibona.
I'm writing this because I saw on some bball sites that Cibona is already qualified for F4.
But judging by the standings and the calendar this could happen:

Cibona loses all it's matches to: Zvezda, Zagreb, Olimpija, Radnicki, Cedevita & finishes with 17 games won

Partizan beats (3 of these will be enough): Bosna, Radnicki, Cedevita, Siroki
and loses to: Zagreb, Olimpija & finishes with 19 (or 18) games won.

Zagreb beats: Partizan, Cibona, Helios, Hemofarm, Zadar & finishes with 18 games won.

Hemofarm beats: Bosna, Buducnost, Zvezda, Olimpija and loses to Zagreb & finishes with 17 games won.

Olimpija beats: Siroki, Partizan, Cibona, Helios and loses to Hemofarm & finishes with 17 games won.

Partizan and Zagreb have more than 17 games won, the other 3 teams are tied at 17 games, but looking only at their games, it's:
Hemofarm 3-1,Olimpija 2-2, Cibona 1-3

In such cases I always check if I made a mistake (I'm sometimes good at overlooking things), but I can't see it here...

Nice win for Hemofarm, congratulation to them. BTW, they're driving me crazy.
Then how about this (it's from the NIJT (in Belgrade), two days ago, Xtf_no4 posted a link in the Europrospects thread):

Then came one of the memorable games of the day with INSEP facing Hemofarm Vrsac. The Serbians totally dominated the first half in a way that I decided to leave the gym after the first twenty minutes and a 56-40 lead at halftime. But in the 2nd half, the French came back to win this one in the final minutes. I was so pissed off when I read it... Hemofarm infected their youngsters with their game-style...

I couldn't watch the game because of work, now I'm reading that he played. I thought he's not gonna play until Korać Cup.
Anyway, glad to see him back on the court, it means a lot to the team.

Probably not. Next best thing is tonight on SOS-Kos (Shoulder-camera, not the whole match...). The idiotic TV Kosava shares it's frequency with Happy TV, I can't see them having a rerun of anything normal.

I am at their webpage now & I can't find anything (except a very funny Q&A section:p; I recommend it to everyone:)).

Somebody will probably upload the game somewhere soon, but downloading can be a pain...

The game was really nice to watch. It was competitive, but not stresfull to watch (for me).

Hemofarm – Bosna
Široki – Olimpija

We have a Serbo - Croat fight to the death on our hands (with a National Cup winners final battle):p:p:p

Judging by the teams it should be 3:1 for our friendly neighbors, but you never know...

I'm a bit afraid for players playing the Euro competitions, and hope none of them (or anyone else for that matter, but the EuroPlayers are at a greater risk...) gets injured.

I don't know what to expect from Cibona - Zvezda. IMO, it can go from +35 for Cibona, to +15 for Zvezda...

this was probably it for Olimpija's F4 hopes..Yea, and funny part of his ejection (which was more than obvious as he walked to half court like two or three times during timeouts to talk to reffs, once in middle of game, then he also pushed of the drinks and other stuff from delegates table - reffs didn't call ejection at first but then crowd and delegate of the game reacted and they were kind of forced to do so, overally, reffs lost control of the game, this was really, really war on court, a lot of hits, all kinds of blows and no wonder Partizan won at the end) was that he didn't leave the arena as he was supposed to do, he left at first but then returned to the arena and sit by Lisac (director of NLB League) and talked to him.. I bet he won't get a fine cuz of it.

Vesely is a beast, the only thing which kind of "harmed" his overall performance was his ugly airball from FT line. :o Overall, amazing still. His style suits perferctly to the NBA. Deserved victory by Partizan, Olimpija is a mess and that's about it.

index rating 57, second highest in NLB's history (Dejan Milojević had 59)..
btw. Mason had one triple double this year, against Helios (20+11+10) and this was his fourth double-double of the season..
I'm quite sure he won't be playing in Široki next season..
I wouldn't mind having him as Gordon's replacement in Cibona ('cause I'm quite sure Gordon will leave Cibona at then end of the season) although the list of potential clubs who will be in hunt for him will be quite long, probably 5-6 clubs only from NLB league will be looking to sign him (Cibona, Zadar, U. I can tell u one thing: Crven Zvezda isn't after him. They will not make same mistakes as last few seasons and will take the players from their own school instead. It all depends on what will be with Partizan and Cibona at the end of the season. Will they sell half of their teams as usual...

As far as I know the situation in Olimpija - at the end of the season club will go to bankruptcy or they will drastically reduce the budget (go on level of Zadar, Zagreb budget wise) or if there will be some miracle such as some wealthy business man taking over the club but I think chances for that are less than 1%... :(

That's the reason for my avatar... soon Slovenia will be on basketball level of Hungary, Austria etc. due to the fact that without STRONG Olimpija in Euroleague and Adriatic League, Slovenian basketball will lose contact with quality basketball...

If Cibona even did lose this one on purpose, it does not affect Zadar. This f**ks up Zagreb's chances. Maybe you meant that?
However, if Cibona loses it's game against Cedevita, that would be an anti-Zadar move.

@Pohani (or anyone else that knows such stuff), I have a question...

First, the axioms:
A:Nymburk is gonna be in the Adriatic league the following season

B:Nymburk has a secured spot in Uleb-competitions for the following season

C:The Adriatic league will have 14 teams next season

D:More than a half of teams from any league can't play in Uleb-competitions

Second, a conclusion derived from the axioms:
A+B+C+D=> No more than 6 ex-Yu Adriatic league participants will be allowed to play in Uleb competitions

Finally, the question:
Is this reasoning correct?

A:Nymburk is gonna be in the Adriatic league the following season

B:Nymburk has a secured spot in Uleb-competitions for the following season

C:The Adriatic league will have 14 teams next season

D:More than a half of teams from any league can't play in Uleb-competitions

Second, a conclusion derived from the axioms:
A+B+C+D=> No more than 6 ex-Yu Adriatic league participants will be allowed to play in Uleb competitions

Finally, the question:
Is this reasoning correct?
(If not, why not?:D)

it will stay the 7:) nymburk won't count so actually it will be 8 NLB teams in ULEB competition:) if of course 6th and 7th team goes trough qualyfications

Thanks, man! That was fast...

It seems Lorbek, Lisac & crew have found a way to snach those Euro-spots.
Lorbek is a cunning guy, and Lisac is a fox:p:p:p

Another Serbo - Croat round has just started.
This time it's 5 on 5...

Siroki already bashing FMP, 42:25 at the moment.
FMP without Raduljica. They wanted him rested for Eurochallenge.

Croatian U20 NT back up center Darko Planinic (1990) was statisticly better than serbian U20 NT starting center Dejan Musli (1991). Planinic ended the game with 7 pts & 7 rbs, while Musli had 5 pts & 5 rbs. Both played about minutes. Planinic is only two month older than Musli. I'm very concerned about Dejan improvement right now. He is in the same situation than Darko Milicic. Too less playing time, too much frustration.

hemofarm beat zagreb in ot. 83-77. hemofarm is now almost sure to be in ff as and they just need to beat olimpija in last round at home. litle sadisfaction for zagreb is that zadar lost against zvezda and now they are sure to play in euro cup. Not bad for club that plays in small school gym:)

zvezda-zadar 77-72

edit:

I just read that Markovic hit treepointer from half court to send game in OT. what a moron of Bajramovic not to foul Hemofarm

Legedary Vlado Đurović after the game:

"When I would metnion in Belegrade Planinić name, I'm sure nobady would know who is about, whille Musli names as big star. But tonight it didn't look like that. Planinić demolished him, but this (Musli) looked like he was not on court".

Darko Planinić making name for himself. He defenetley had very nice rookie season in NLB:) I hope he continiue his impruvment:)

It seems that now even croatian basketball website copy and paste my posts on interbasket forum. It's becoming an habit.
