Serbia beats the US 98-82:
http://usabasketball.com/news.php?news_page=09_mwug_exh_02

Bo Ryan notes that the traveling rules are a lot looser in international play :D

Its a different game, and for some of our guys, the extra step really hurt. The Serbians really know how to use that. We were thinking we were in position to take a charge, and they took one more step to go by the defensive player.

Russia beat Canada 80-74 in the other game.

US beats Russia 67-63 in their last pre-tournament game.

Looks like the tournament is stronger than usual, Serbia and Russia both have strong squads with lots of experience.

Sadly Aidas Viskontas has foot injury so Kelys is the only real PG. Pocius and Mazeika used to play point when they were younger. These 2 probably are best players in the team. Jasiulionis may be weakest and he's only one real center. My guess is that Dimsa will be starter at C.

I'll say that starters will be Kelys, Pocius, Gailius, Brazdauskis and Dimsa

On 6th July, Portugal were defeated by Bulgaria, 86-78, in an unprecedent basketball game in a recent past. Int this game, the portuguese national team saw the officials subtract 3 points, after a three pointer from the bulgarians, turning a 69-73 in 66-76 game (!!!). The portuguese staff tryed to explain the mistake (was it???) the officials had comitted, with no sucess...

Logistics problems are affecting the tournament, for example, in the triple jump, the track hasn't the length necessary to prepare the run before the jump. The portuguse gold medalist Nelson Evora has already said that he wouldn't participate in the finals, unless the track is in conditions.

GER-ISR

I believe it will be a tight game. Germany played really well against Lithuania and lead with 17 points but lost at the end with one, after the lithuanian hitted an incredible three pointer with the board and guarded directly

Three other games ill predict the same winner.

It was a tight game the half: (13-11, 16-17), then (18:9 ) and (19:12) and an easy win

I knew for sure Israel will win this one: our team plays recent matches with a lot of heart , besides Israeli teams always have extra motivation playing against Germany.
