funny how he uses the term "signs". it's like UP is a professional club team.:D

it only shows how our college teams have become more like commercial teams with regards to their recruitment.

NCAA in the USA use the word sign, maybe a better way is to say 'sign letter of intent.'

uhuh... to 'enroll' would be the best word... isn't your recruit's purpose of playing for UP is to get a college education... or is it just to play basketball and make money from it?

guys calm down, kids go here to get an opportunity to fulfill their dreams which schools there could not provide easily. Besides this is a good opportunity to improve the level of competency the leagues in the country.

Profiteering I believe would come after they graduate or stop school and play in the pro-league.

the problem is there is already profiteering at the college level... and i don't mean the players.

what we want for these boys and girls is better education. anything after that in basketball is a plus.

After one year at U.P., he went abroad on a scholarship program. He returned to play another year but his touch was no longer there. He moved to another school abroad on a scholarship.
