Is he really doin' as well there as at Maccabi Tel Aviv?
I think he's doing extremely well. Since leaving MTA, he has averaged about 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. I don't know how that compares statistically to what he did in Israel, but I think he's a very big part of his team. He's a sure starter in Toronto, but Bosh and Calderon are probably "more important" or "more significant" players than Parker. Parker was very important to Toronto's big season in 06-07, when he really helped to make the franchise respectable again, along with Jorge Garbajosa.
So, his team hasn't been as great as it was when he won the EL, but I think he is playing as well.
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas
His number in the NBA are lower than in Israel (and Europe competitions), as expected when playing in the best league in the world, but are pretty good.
In Israel he was regarded as "Air Parker" (The Michael Jordan of Europe).
Don't forget the fact that he is now 33 years old and when he was in Maccabi he was at the top of his career as a player, so you can't really expect him to show the same results.

Yes. I don't know what his stats in Israel and the EuroLeague were, but there is always a drop off in statistics, even for good players like Childress, because of the fewer minutes played.

Yeah, he was great. He's still a very solid played and I'd love for him to play for Cleveland!

Statistics do not necessarily prove the value of a player. In the NBA, one-on-one game is preferred and for that Chris Bosh is option Nr. 1 and Nr. 2. This means more isolations, less ball movement, less opportunities for his teammates to score. Parker's job in Toronto is to hit the (corner) three and to defend well. He has shown, he can score a dozen of points per game without getting a lot of touches. His FG this season is somewhat lower than the three years before but he is still scoring in double digits. He is also being considered the best perimeter defender of his team and usually defends the opponents shooting guard, who is younger, taller and very athletic in most of cases. Besides, Anthony has shown his all-round game, when he replaced Calderon as the starting PG. It wasn't Solomon or Ukic, it was Parker, who suddenly scored, rebounded much better and had a lot of assists during Jose's absence. This shows that he still got his all-round game but his normal duty on the Raptors is a different one. He would still be a premier shooting guard in the Eurolegue, especially in a system, which would allow him to play his best game. He has a great deal of affinity to Maccabi Tel-Aviv and every MTA fan would love to see him in their yellow dress, whether he is 33 or 35 in that moment. Too many fond memories. Moreover, I think every European basketball fan would love to see him back.
I think, there will be a major overhaul at MTA after this season and Gershon will build a team that he likes within the budget frame. He will sort out most of his bench players and will try to bring Parker back. I hope so

Absolutely correct. Statistics usually simply show how much time a player was on the court.

And to make sure, I think Bosh is a wonderful player. Unfortunately, a lot of his All-Star success comes at the expense of other players on his team.

Yes. He's a very multi-talented player. He can do a lot of things very well.

Absolutely they would! I think it's a possibility that he will return to MTA in some capacity. Both he and his family had an extremely positive experience there, where he blossomed into a star ball player. If he doesn't play again, I'm sure he could find a position as an assistant coach in Israel or a telecaster or something.

Superb player. Too bad we failed to sign him the previews summer. Instead we spent the money for Childress, a great athlete but I have my doubts if he can adapt to the european style basketball having terrible shooting skills. Plus he got seriously injured and went though a surgery....Parker im my opinion would have been a much better choice. At least we signed Jannero Pargo last week to improve our shooting percentages
All seeing eye, 666, AntiChrist aka "disagreeing" with his son, etc you name it. NASA-funded rituals disguised as concerts in 2000. Pisces is over. Aquarius "Olympiakos" officially from 2012 until 4000 AD. Major events are about to come. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OysJR2K8cuo

Stats might be a helpful indicator but since they don't show such important plays as setting the right pick, blocking out and the influence one had on his direct opponent (well, such stats exist in the NBA but they are not featured in the regular box score), I consider them not the ultimate truth. You have to watch the game in order to determine the value of a player. Who cares, if someone scored 15 points on 33% FG, if he conceded 18 points on 70% FG?
And to make sure, I think Bosh is a wonderful player. Unfortunately, a lot of his All-Star success comes at the expense of other players on his team.
Unfortunately, you are right. I don't watch every Raptors game but I have seen enough in order to think that his points do not come in the flow of the game. He isn't in the right place at the right time. He needs to get the ball and everyone to get out of his way. While sometimes isolations are good, I prefer ball movement. This makes the offense less predictable, makes the defense move more and become tired. For me as someone who has watched Parker play, he is being wasted in Toronto. He could surely be more valuable for his team. He has never been a player who demanded the ball and wanted to score big but he could surely get 5-6 points more in the flow of the game, thus freeing up more space for his team-mates.
Yes. He's a very multi-talented player. He can do a lot of things very well.
I was especially amazed about how he turned out to be one of the most accurate three-point shooters in the NBA. He could always shoot but he has always been rather a scorer than a shooter. Getting 40% of NBA-threes into the basket... wow!

Sometimes we wish dreams come true
We'll also have to wait and see who is going to be the Raptors head coach next year. Will Colangelo take the risk and hire Ettore Messina? That would totally change the Raptors game for sure.
He is really a good player! In Toronto Bosh is the reference and Parker does well his secondary role... 11 ppg, 4 rebounds and 3 assists are definitely good stats...
Bronze Medal - IBN 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup Prediction Game
Anthony Parker is the great man. He rocks! He has stepped up huge in his game and is playing amazing. When Bosh was out of the lineup he was the one that stepped up the and so did Rasho. He is a very best player in NBA.In Toronto Bosh is the reference and Parker does well his secondary role.

The same talkings where about Parker at his first year at Europe
They both beside being athletes are intelligent players and have a very convenient character ... just needed some time...
Btw, how is he at Cleveland? When will he become a free agent?
