I will be in London the second week of February :)

Pound was about $1.45 (lowest in a long time) when I booked the trip in December, up to $1.52 now, what will it be in a month?

What are you doing in London, man?

Just sightseeing...never been there and with a lot of vacation time built up and a good exchange rate I figured it was time to go.

London Capital host Guildford Heat on the 14th...apparently their homecourt is a high school in the suburbs. I think I'll skip that one.

Hope u have a great time there! But u do have to know that the weather there is really shitty (always raining and cloudy) :D
(I never knew why the English in general were quite cranky and drank so much until I went there to do my Masters. The weather does get to u eventually :) )

As for the pound rate man that is really great even if its $1.52. When i was there the rate was close to $2

:D Yeah a couple weeks of training should do u good. Have u watched the movie "Beerfest" by any chance? Its' a comedy that talks about a beer drinking competition.
Also practice on ur binge drinking techniques cuz many pubs close at 11 p.m (I don't know if they changed the law though cuz the pubs that stayed after 11 were required to have a special license).
So once ur hear the bell ring or the bar tender shouting "last call for drinks" u should be in high gear and in "the zone" to drink as much and as fast as possible :p

25% chance I forget to bring the battery or memory card or battery charger, but I'll try to get some pics. Anything in particular you want?

Yes...a little worried about the London to DC flight on Friday afternoon getting cancelled causing the DC to London flight to be off as well. Doesn't seem the snow in London tomorrow will be as bad as Monday though so hopefully we will be okay.

More pictures later but this one from the toilets in the Natural History Museum seemed most relevant to the board:

Had a great time, saw all the sites, ate exotic british foods, had a cold that cut into my pubbing but it was still good. No basketball (there was a game on TV at 1 AM one night...) but got to a couple soccer games.

It's cool u had a great time!
:p at "ate exotic british foods". I hope ur not considering eating fish & chips wrapped in a newspaper with oil dripping from it as exotic :D
Yeah bball isn't popular at all there (I used to suffer from this big time)
The sites r cool and watching a soccer match is a must, just to see how much the English love this sport. It's crazy how each team has all these chants and songs and every single fan has memorized his teams' chant by heart, even the little kids :).
Which team did u get to see playing?
