Avatar size

Just a brief question. Is there a restriction on avatar sizes? Because everytime i try to change my avatar the system tells me that an avatar should not be bigger than 80x80. While i see that other posters have these HUGE, MASSIVE pics without any problems. I even did an experiment - tried to upload the exact avatar of another poster, but the system automatically changed the size of the pic. What the hell is going on ?

Personally I can even put a big wallpaper as my avatar, system automatcally change that wallpaper into right size and it not tells that avatar is too big.

ohhh - I see..... so this is all just about fragile male ego.


P.S. NEVERTHELESS, it seems that different users have difeerent avatar size restrictions, which is weird ....

Male ego? You are the one who claimed that size matters by starting this thread...

Seriously now, maybe if you tried Firefox instead of IE? I didn;t know that there are still people using IE
