It's a salute (three fingers - thumb, index, mid) used by some Serbs. Serb (para)forces often used this salute in war in Croatia and BiH... nationalistic provocation, three fingers should represent old Orthodox way of crossing (Father, Son and Holy Ghost) (three fingers - fingers should be put togather to be a "orthodox crossing").

Believe me I am far from a nationalist, but the salute is not that of the paramilitary forces, but of all the Serbs. In the 1991 demonstrations against Milosevic it was also used, and evrywhere ever since. I am sorry that you have such a association, but it is wrong. And it can only be viewed as a provocation if you have something against the Serbs, but in Serbia it is a normal way of expressing joy or victory and no one is at that moment thinking about provocing someone.

Yes it is Serbian salute. I think Vuk Draskovic was the first to use it. Although i do not use it that often reminds me of what ustashi intended: kill,expel or convert to catholicism. Our salute should be 3 fingers put together not separated.
