            Beshara Back in the Game

Lebanese national team forward and former LSU standout, Brian Beshara has decided to compete again. This time, however, the situation is unique.

Pro Management Agency will be looking to get Brian a contract that allows him to play in Lebanon part-time.

“I am interested in the best opportunity that fits with my life and my business,” Beshara said.

Brian’s decision to play professionally again came after some serious thinking. The 6’9” forward owns his own business, a web company called Mongoose – The Web Company. Work has picked up fast for Beshara, shifting his priorities from hoops to pure business.

But regardless of the excitement and the benefits of the business world, Brian’s enthusiasm for basketball hasn’t waned. After the 2007 Asian Championship in Japan, the love of basketball renewed itself in Brian and demanded more time out of his busy schedule.

“God has given me a talent for basketball, so I would love to continue playing. I am still interested in competing and meeting different challenges.”

Brian has been a part of Lebanese basketball since 2001, when he first signed with Sagesse (LEB-Div.A). After two World Championships and several Asian honors, the Dallas native would like to return to the region and give his valuable input on Lebanese basketball.

Until Brian gives his allegiance to a team, he will be in Dallas working to further develop his already soaring company.

“We are showing very good potential and doing quality work. This is our goal and we will keep growing as long as we stay true to this.”

Lebanese free agent Rony Fahed is close to being clad in green this season.

Former Lebanese, Arab and Asian champions, Sagesse reached an agreement with Fahed, who will be the team’s starting point guard.

The two parties met Friday evening to talk about the details of the contract.

Both sides expect the deal to be final on Saturday, September 29, 2007.
