Beating Egypt in the final by 56-50, Angola win the Pan African Games. Playing with your second team because the principal are in Spain preparing for the afrobasket, the Angolans beat all adversaries in Argel.

We must start question why are not angolan's playing in major's basketball leagues in the world.

I ask the same myself, some of them (Cipriano, Gomes, Mingas) have all the potential to play in Europe for instance. Perhaps it has to do with poor exposure of Angolan basketball and players, I really don't know...

Can top Angolan players get Portuguese passport? If they can, they should be able to jump to Europe. If they can't, it's almost impossible.

I think Angola is now where Argentina was 10 or 15 years ago, being a good NT capable of being a top-10 team but not much else. Argentina became an elite NT because its best players got to play in Europe thanks to UE passports. If Angola can do the same, they will get even better.

How good is the Angolan league? Imports?

With hard work...the principal player's are professional's and they work 3 times per day in their clubs. Angola has also a good coach's.

The Angolan league is far the best in Africa, but only 4 clubs have international level...very few imports play in Angola and all in the principal clubs.
