Twelve plus two alternates who can only in the case of injury or illness replace one of the twelve prior to the start of the Olympics.

It's not that we're ignoring you. I just don't know of a single place where they're all neatly listed.

Why don't you start a thread specifically to list Olympic national team rosters and hope for the best? Or I suppose the various team rosters could just be posted here in this thread.

:)

When I was searching for rosters, I used wikipedia because it has decent search option, but I'm not sure how reliable it is. One alternative I could think of is to visit each basketball federation website, and one by one check rosters of the teams. I haven't found any website showing full rosters of all teams, not even Olympic games website which is really disgrace.

I personally browse throught federations sites to track any changes or some local media for each country, then adding/removing the names in my excel sheet. You can try Spanish acb.com http://acb.com/redaccion.php?id=122398 they are updating it too. Tbh, official site is not that bad this year, it looked much worse some week ago

I don't have a link. As I wrote earlier in thread, I have an excel sheet with players who were called to camps, joined it, played friendlies, were removed or added during all this process. According to my sources, now there are 14 players. So no one link with all names in it. It's really hard to gather all the detailed info regarding Nigerian NT, they doesn't really shares it, federation site doesn't work at all

Are you able to post any of your own? if so, please do.

Or failing that, why don't you raise the question in every national team's thread, and then post what you learn in this thread? In other words, do some of the digging yourself.

I have tried but have no expertise in this field. I figured I would ask the senior members.

No expertise? But you've been asking for very detailed info on the most arcane questions since you joined in 2011:

Thanks for the link, but Im having a little bit of trouble navigating around the site. Where is the information regarding the WJC located? Thanks again.

It's as if you're working professionally for an oddsmaker of some sort. In such a case you should be providing the rest of us with insights periodically.

Fourteen players on 2016 rosters who played in the 2004 Olympics:

Spain: Gasol, Fernandez, Navarro, Calderon, Reyes
Argentina: Ginobili, Nocioni, Delfino, Scola
Australia: Andersen, Bogut
Lithuania: Javtokas
USA: Anthony
China: Yi

I wonder how many players played in both 1992 and 2004? Add in France and Brazil with a lot of players who have been on the national team since before 2004 and it's definitely the end of an era in international basketball.
