It looks a player-pool loaded with talents and the selection process of the 12 finalists won't be easy. Only remarkable player missing, center Kayla Alexander (SA Stars, WNBA).
Interesting to see how WNBA players will manage their NT obligations.

Whilst Canada Sr NT, less WNBA players, is on tour in Europe where it currently holds a 2-1 record, a Development National Team training camp was announced by Canada Basketball, including 17 athletes.

Training camp will run from 7-16 June, then the final squad will participate in a 5-game international tournament in Prague, CZE, from 20-25 June.
Since the invitees list includes Bridget Carleton and Emily Potter who are currently with the touring Sr NT, it's clear that these two players will join training camp later on.

Canada to face China in a three-game exhibition play starting this Saturday.
When you look at rivalries on the basketball court, Canada and China aren’t two countries that first come to mind, but as the Canadian women’s senior…

How Canadian players currently active in WNBA are performing:

Kayla Alexander seems ahead of the group but strangely is out of Sr NT roster.

Players list of 33 invited to Canada NT assessment camp:

Besides players currently engaged in WNBA, interestingly young sensation Laeticia Amihere is among invitees. Amihere (2001) could be eligible for U16 NT, and has recently been under the radar for some impressive dunks.

After the camp a NT will travel to Spain and France to play five games.
