Probably the most interesting foreign player to play this season is Greg Oden, the off and injured big man. Will his health hold up? Will he be a 20-10 guy for Jiangsu? Hoping the best for him.

Also, Stephon Marbury announced the revival of his "Starbury" sneaker line. He even dissed a bit of the Jordan brand, claiming those cost $5 to make and sell just below $200.
An artist's rendering of Stephon Marbury's new signature shoe. Not that long ago, Stephon Marbury was marketing a signature shoe for only $15 a pair. His "Starbury" kicks became a household name among hoops heads?in America well before the basketball star became a pop culture phenomenon in China. He was rightly [...]Sacramento Kings

Seeing Beasley play unstoppable vs Guangdong is somehow remarkable. Beasley can still get back to the NBA after the CBA season is done. Opening day saw Xinjiang upset Beijing, the defending champions. Blatche looked nothing like his paltry FIBA Asia form and is back to his dominant CBA form.
Good D played by Goudeluck against Marbury but the legend at times schooled the youngster.
Like last season, Xinjiang looked promising but will need for the team to gel around Blatche to make the playoffs after an off-season of acquiring the likes of Li Gen.Sacramento Kings

Jiangsu's Marshon Brooks needs help. The development of Chang Lin and Liu Wei are note worthy but their rebounding is proving unsustainable against other teams that have a big man for a foreign player. I have to wonder if Pan Ning can contribute more in the rebounding department if given more playing time.Sacramento Kings

Good comeback by Guangdong against Shanghai. Three pointers, mid-range shots and Will Bynum's perimeter attack made this possible. Yi Jianlian also played good defense compared to his first half form.Sacramento Kings

Xinjiang won in thrilling fashion over Guangsha the other night. Goudelock and Xirilijiang applied pressure continuously on defense and it lead to some steals that ignited the fast break. The win highlights two factors that seem to not been exhibited by Xinjiang last season:
1. Team chemistry - Last season Blatche was full ISO most of the time. With this season and an improved roster, Blatche is working better within the team offense, often finding cutting teammates or recognizing a mismatch under Zhou Qi. Good thing that Goudeluck is not a shoot first type of player, but a slasher at best where he also has some of that playmaking ability on drives that the Lakers once drafted him for. Zhou Qi is much improved and is being assertive on offense, showcasing that mid-range jumpshot despite being the defensive anchor of Liu Qiuping.
2. Trust factor - There were games last season when CBA teams just send double or triple teams against Xinjiang during crunch time to nutralize Blatche as a scoring threat and often, most of his less talented teammates don't want to take the shot. That changed in the acquisition of Li Gen. Xinjiang has a dependable shooter on crucial games. Flying Tigers are more dynamic now on close games as there are options on offense and not just Blatche.Sacramento Kings
