He had just signed a contract with Samara from Russia few weeks ago.
      Enormous talent,huge disappointment.
He reminds me a bit of Costas Vassiliadis, hope this young fellow wont finish like him.
Neverthless,Diamantopoulos can still save his career, his not very old yet.

He should have been playing EL basketball a long time ago.

He was doing OK while in Roseto but then went downhill after he signed for Agua Magica (Palma de Mallorca). Then a big gap for more than half a year and now he signed for CSK-BBC Samara, where he did OK for the first few games, in which he started, but did not (yet) register his usual numbers in offence. Hopefully that would be a new start for him.

He was offered all over the Europe for some months, but it took a lot of time until somebody decided to take a risk and sign him. For player with his reputation (not a really a good one...) he wasn't cheap, he expected at least 15k euro. In Russia for sure he got more, and just like all of you I am wondering how he will do there, and if he can move to play on higher level in next seasons...

I always thought he would go to Aris.

              15k a year? I think you've made a mistake , woma.

Diamantopoulos-unwilling to work on his game and pretty selfish guy.
I think he had more talent than Vassiliadis but he just let it go...
LEt's hope he will be play at the EL level even as a role player in a small team...
