Korea will have two women's squads this year. Team A will train for the Asian Games and Team B will participate in the World Cup.

Both squads will scrimmage one another besides friendlies through the preparation schedule.

May - June = Training camp / local scrimmages
July - August = Trips abroad / friendlies / start of competitions.

Kim Young-Joo (KDB Life Winnus Guri) will coach the South Korean team that will play in Turkey. While Wee Sung-Woo (Woori Hansae) will coach the team for the Asian Games. South Korea has two women's national teams this year.

While the Japanese men's team is drawing flak for their string of bad performances and inability to participate in the two succeeding world cups after 2006, the women's team and program has been drawing praise. A good showing in Turkey and perhaps a direct qualification for Rio 2016 by winning next year's 2015 FIBA Asia will solidify their automatic bid for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Japan and Korea imo are placed in the most competitive groups, pretty difficult to predict the two teams that won't advance.

Any news on China? They too are in a tougher spot. Last I heard is that Chen Nan retired so we may see a younger substitute.

Suzy Batkovic and Jenna O'Hea withdrew from 2014 Australian NT.
The two Jayco Opals veterans will focus on their WNBL & WNBA club careers.

Tall Ferns were eliminated by Australia and won't participate to the WC.

Oh, I posted on the wrong thread.

Anyways, do you have news about Cuba and the Czech Republic? I was trying to find anything related to their NT but none.

Neither did I, for Czech Republic no news from the Official Site, while for Cuba no active site is available.
Concerning CZE, it's probably a bit too early right now, as the National regular season just ended few days ago.
