Is it just me or do Puerto Rico and Domican republic always end up at this stage?

PR and Argentina to win.

Argentina has been written off so many times I don't expect them to give a damn at this point. They win just to spite people.

Why do they even bother? I expect 500 fans, booing all four teams.

Results from the first round carry over. Both teams will be 4-3, and Argentina won head-to-head.

Congratulations to Mexico! Beating Argentina just shows this team is for real! Gustavo Ayon deserves more minutes in the NBA.

Mexico joins Team Underdog with Egypt and Philippines. ;)

Congrats to Mexico for their first ever FIBA Americas medal and their first major medal since bronze at the Olympics (1936)

it's the rematch of the PanAm2011, where PR beated Mexico in Guadalajara in the gold medal game.

Great game by Mexico indeed, I wonder whether Argies partied before the game though, because they made many uncharacteristic mistakes, including turnovers easily converted into fasbreak points and looked very sluggish... Anyway, this has been a beautiful, exciting and entertaining tournament, the best regional FIBA tournament so far, despite many absentees. The Poliedro was a very good choice to host it, not as good as the Mall of Asia arena in the Philippines but still top notch compared to what we have in Slovenia for this Eurobasket...

Off-topic to J-Mart: Could you explain why is shown "Syria - Philippines - Myanmar" in your signature?
Interbasket has just been consecutively hacked by Syrian pro-Assad militants, a Philippines hacker and Myanmar "Muslim cyber force". I don't know what you are playing at but it's not funny for the rest of us.
