UConn center Stefanie Dolson, a potential candidate to become a member of the USA team, will take the entire summer season off, to recover from a stress-fracture in her ankle.
Teammates Bria Hartley and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis could be invited to the trials.

A list of 31 trials invitees announced by USA Basketball.

Some big names missing among healthy players, juniors All-Americans Chiney Ogwumike (I've read she's on a trip to Nigeria) and Alyssa Thomas, Kayla McBride, soph Elizabeth Williams and Freshman Jewell Loyd.

            USA team announced.
8 players are rising seniors and 4 juniors.
Best known, also for their international experience, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, Ariel Massengale, Bria Hartley and Odyssey Sims (who returns from the 2011 WUG team).
Bit surprisingly, 3-pt shooter Maggie Lucas wasn’t selected.
This team imo is lacking a true post player + some size on the frontcourt and talent-wise looks below the 2011 squad.

              Russian prelim team (14 players):

              1. Tatyana Abrikosova
              2. Tatyana Grigorieva
              3. Natalya Dorovskikh
              4. Veronika Dorosheva
              5. Anastasiya Loginova
              6. Anastasiya Logunova
              7. Nadezhda Shulzhenko
              8. Lyubov Paskalenko
              9. Olga Sokolovskaya
              10.Aleksandra Stolyar
              11.Aleksandra Tarasova
              12.Ekaterina Fedorenkova
              13.Evgeniya Finogentova
              14.Anastasiya Shilova

A strong and very tall team, with tower Paskalenko (2.05 m) and 4 other players measuring 1.90 or more.

Loginova, Logunova and Paskalenko were already members of the 2011 WUG team.

Several other players led Russian teams at U-European championships in recent years.

Tatyana Abrikosova will join the Sr NT selection preparing for the Fiba Euro, as a sub of injured Epiphanny Prince, while Veronika Dorosheva was released from the Sr NT some days ago.

In a prep game Russian team barely survived a strong comeback of Russia U20 in last Q to narrowly win 60-59.

Veronika Dorosheva (10) and Anastasiya Shilova (9) were high scorers for the WUG women.

I've checked the Hungarian team roster touring China and I doubt very much that this is the WUG selection, as several players would be overaged.

                            Canadian team announced.

Good size squad, no big names.
Three (Taijah Campbell, Kara Spotton, Rachelle Coward) play in the NCAA D1, one (Erin Chambers) in D2, the others play in CIS (Korissa Williams, Miah-Marie Langlois, Kris Young and Lindsay Ledingham are best known).
