This seems to be the year of Pachulia in the NBA, at least judging by his current stats after 4 games. He has been rising in the NBA since joining the Magic in 2003. Could he become NBA's most improved player by the end of this season? I guess he's one serious candidate. Consistent free throw percentage (80.6), field goals (57.1%), 18.3 ppg and 6.8 rpg. More important than that is that he's getting lots of minutes per game, 33 up to now.

I watched him live this preseason and the guy amazed me. I was shocked at his diverse abilities and I was a bit embarassed to realise I knew so little about him. `
The crowd in Atlanta absolutely loves him (probably more than any other Hawk), even moreso given that, just like them, he is from Georgia too .The Euroleague Organization and Mr Bertomeu are like the Bulgarian Government: corrupt, partially stupid, and a huge underestimator of people's intelligence.

Another good performance, this time in a tight loss (113-112) against Seattle: 21 pts + 8 rebs.
He is by now the team's second scorer (17.2 ppg) behind Joe Johnson (28.8 ppg), the second rebounder (6.7 rpg) behind Josh Smith (7.0 rpg), the second shot blocker (1 bpg) also behind Smith (1.5 bpg) and has the best FG% (55.6%).

Double-double for Zaza against Miami Heat: 12 pts + 11 rebs (+ 1 steal + 1 block + 1 assist)

Despite a poor FG accuracy (2-10) he managed a consistent performance with 12 pts + 7 rebs + 2 blocks in the Hawks' loss against the Pistons.

Actually I hope he plays for Georgia whenever asked to. It's one of the nations with the greatest potential in Europe imo, and they should already be there among the big fishes.

He's been followed by Turkish media and among bball fans, not because his possibility of playing for our NT, but since he was a familiar nice figure here for many years.
His choice in playing for Georgia was a wise decision and no one has ever questioned that. But we like him, and we follow him closely, that's all5 out 6 scientists say Russian roulette is safe.

I would like to see him playing for us. Georgians are nationalists or what? Even an Albanian, (Albanians are d@mn nationalists), Kuqo is playing for us. It'd be great to see a Georgian at our center spot. ZaZa/Kuqo Memo would play PF then.
I mean what's the use of playing for a very weak NT? He gains nothing from it. He'll never play a world championship/eurobasket/olympic games. But it's his choice. Hope he does well though in NBA. We'll be waiting for him

1- There's a rule that no more than 2 neutralized players can be present in Turkish national team roster, and those two need to have acquired Turkish citizenship before 16 years old. (That's how I remember it, but it needs confirmation.)
2- Zaza already played for Georgian NT (meaning he cannot play for any other country even if he wants)5 out 6 scientists say Russian roulette is safe.

are you serious? So they have more potential than Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Lithuania, France, Croatia etc... Georgia is the best team of the second level European Teams: Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, etc.....
BTW, Sariss, if only 2 guys are allowed, one of them is Kuqo and the other could be ZaZa. Or is Ilyasova the second guy? If so, ZaZa's got no chance. But if he wants, I'm sure they'll cut Kuqo from the squad for him...
