hey guys, i know this may sound stupid, but can someone please explain to me in basic terms why philippines was banned internationally, and the philippines national team current status
The POC (Philippine Olympic Committee) decided to expell BAP as an NSA because of sending mediocre or even below mediocre teams to big international tournaments. Then at the SEABA (South East Asian Basketball Association) the BAP sent a team even though they were already expelled as an NSA. This prompted confusion as to who is the "real" team. Then FIBA decided to ban the Philippines. They gave the RP team a day to sort things out but it wasn't.
The Philippine National Training Pool, which is composed of professionals and amateurs is practicing atleast once a week (I think).
