  • 2012 U18 European Championship

Our team started with preps. We are probably favorites. Some strange names and some players missing as usual. From U-16 bigest impruvment should be in Jakov Mustapic, player that had great impruvment. athletic combo guard with huge wingspan able to play great defense and who is also very good penetrating to basket. Don't know will any U-17 team player join squad. Also Herendic once one of best players of team slowly coming back from hard knee injury, had good season in Cibona.Hezonja, Bosnjak, Zganec should have place by quality

Martin Junakovic (PG 185 94. Cedevita)
Dominik Herendic (PG 191 94. Cibona)
    Jakov Mustapic (PG/SG 194 94. Cedevita)
    Dominik Mavra (PG/SG 194 94. Cedevita)
Mislav Brzoja (SG 195 94. USA)
Marko Proleta (SG 191 94. Cibona)
Lovro Demo (SG 195 94. Cibona)
    Karlo Lebo (SG/SF 196 94. Cedevita)
Braslav Turic (SF 198 94. Gorica)
Jure Boban (SF 198 94. Alkar)
Ivan Bogdanovic (SF 198 94. Dubrovnik)
Antonio Crnjevic (SF 200 94. Zabok)
Luka Kamber (SF 202 94. Alba Berlin)
    Robert Kujundzic (SF/PF 201 94. Darda)
    Dario Saric (SF/PF 208 94. Zagreb)
Daniel Zovko (PF 200 94. Siroki)
    Filip Bundovic (PF/C 208 94. Cedevita)
    Marin Maric (C 208 94. Split)
    Valentin Jurkovic (C 207 94. Capljina)
    Jordi Bertomeu sucks!

U18 Euro Div A will be played 9-19 Aug in Latvia/Lithuania, see official site.
    This year's U18 is particularly important as it's the 2013 U19 World's qualifier.
The only valuable tournament played so far (in springtime) was the Albert Schweitzer tournament, won by Spain over Serbia and followed by 3. Turkey 4. Germany 5. Italy 6. Russia 8. France (Croatia didn't participate).

    P.S: Groups A and D, deadly !

This is really good in our generation. especially in the short players ,I think there are only a center lack of, maybe the biggest favorite after the Croats.
Also I wonder Enes Kanter brothers Kerem kanter how will the performance of.I know his brother, looks like play style, and very athletic.
I think In the best prospects kenan sipahi, metecan birsen and burakcan yıldızlı.

I really like your team, specially Sipahi, but Spain is crearly ahead of Turkey and basically on par with Croatia, we might not have any superstar in the making like Saric or Hezonja but a plethora of very good prospects and a more balanced team.

Croatia bet Montenegro in friendly match 81-49

                proleta 3, lebo 6, herendić 5, demo 1, šarić 24,
                brzoja 16, bogdanović 2, kujundžić 5, marić 14, kamber 1

                some scorers are missing

Imo, Filip Bundovic, starting bigman is probably lost for this summer with injury. Maric and Zganec (now they must call him) will have tough job to replace him. Hezonja has wish to join team but must wait for doctors opinon how his recovery from mononucleosis is going.
                Jordi Bertomeu sucks!

Croatia with full roster has most talented junior roster ever in our history. Mavra, Mustapic, Brzoja, Bosnjak, Bundovic (tough injured) are for sure high level prospects. Mustapic, athletic combo destroyed Josip Perez in their match up this year. People underestimate other in our rooster players becuse Saric and Hezonja domination, but for sample Cedevita destroyed Real and Barcelona in their matchup and only some strange game stop them for not winning NIJT in Barcelona. Mustapic, Lebo, Bundovic and others beat Zagreb with full roster in croatian U-18 championship, whille same Zagreb that beat evryone in NIJT last year finised 5th last season in Croatia

                          I really like this generation,
Metecan Birsen, Kenan Sipahi, Kartal Özmızrak, Burak Can Yıldızlı, Talat Altunbey, Cedi Osman, Tayfun Erülkü are promising guys...
Last year Kenan played with 2 year olders, now he's with the team.
Burak Can Yıldızlı (who leads Efes youth team Pertevniyal in TB2L) also in roster.
I won't be surprised if we win the tournament this year.

+ A prediction: I expect Kartal Özmızrak to be leader of this team. He's the most talented one imo...
