    About Siena...

Andersen, Aradori, Carraretto, Kaukenas, Lavrinovic, Moss and McCalebb all have contracts for next season. Rakovic and Kangur do too and presumably Maestranzi as well. Siena also have options on Rakocevic and Maciulis. Stonerook retired and Zisis, Michelori, Ress and Thornton are free agents.

Is that information correct? I know that some of the players under contract will probably leave anyway but I wanted to check.

David Moss agreed to terms for a 2-yr extension. Not official yet but the deal is done.
Other players that will definitely remain are Aradori and Carraretto. Ress is under contract and should stay too. Kaukenas and Ksystof Lavrinovic are likely to stay. Small chances that Thornton remains, he's still good but he's aging (35). Zisis seemed to be on his way back to Athens but no official agreement with Olympiakos so far. Has offers from Spain (Bilbao) but he enjoys life in Italy and he's still deciding.

After spending the previous season on loan in Varese, Kangur should be joining the roster, unless they opt for a different solution.
I don't think they plan to keep Maestranzi, who's been very disappointing last season. They're talking to Rakovic as both the team and the player are considering whether to go on together or not.

Stonerook should retire, although he did not make any official statement and he's still considering to play one more season. Rakocevic will definitely leave and so Maciulis.

Andersen will go, he should once again play for CSKA. The biggest buzz is around Bo McCalebb as he's under contract but there's no official buyout, so it is Siena to decide how much interested teams are supposed to pay to sign him. It is rumored they're asking 2.5 million Euros, which is big time money and currently only CSKA and Fenerbahce appear to be capable to spend that much. By the way, McCalebb enjoys life in Siena and never asked to move so far, so he might remain.

A few official movements so far:

        - Milano signed PF Richard Hendrix with a 2-yr deal (1 million/dollars per season). Not officially announced by the team though, but the player's agency did it.

        - Venezia brought back to Italy USA/Bulgarian C Eric Williams (BC Astana Tigers).

        - Varese signed Nigerian SG/SF Ebi Ere, last season in ACB with Obradoiro.

        - Newly promoted Reggio Emilia officially confirmed SG/SF Donell Taylor (1 yr deal/for around 200.000 dollars). He turned down an offer from Israel.

        - Newly promoted Brindisi confirmed Serbian C Dejan Borovnjak.

Thanks for all the info on Siena. Interesting that they seem to still be keeping a few of their veterans and their coaching appointment suggests continuity as well. Not as dramatic changes as I thought.

Is there any more news on Treviso's situation? If the worst comes to the worst and they aren't able to compete next season will they be replaced with another team? Any suggestion who that team might be?

              - Luca Banchi, who will be new Siena's head coach, is trying to convince Shaun Stonerook to play for another season.

              - Venezia agreed to terms with veteran PG/SG Ivan Zoroski, who averaged 15 ppg last season with Montegranaro. Not official yet, but should be soon. Venezia is also chasing French SF Yakhouba Diawara (15.1 ppg with Varese, last season), but he's still deciding as other teams (Siena?) may be interested too.

              - After inking Ebi Ere, Varese is rumored to be close to signing PF Brandon Bowman (Maccabi Rishon). They're also targeting C John Bryant (Ulm).

              - Reggio Emilia made a good offer to Spanish C Albert Miralles, although Biella is trying to re-sign him and other teams from Spain are interested too.

              - Virtus Bologna and Biella are interested in SG Matt Janning (12.7 ppg with Casale). Another name which is considered by both Virtus and Varese is that of Canadian sharpshooter Andy Rautins (Alicante). Virtus Bologna is also after Bulgarian PF and Rautins' former teammate Kaloyan Ivanov, currently a free agent, while Biella is looking for an experienced US point guard, one of the names is that of Walter Hodge (19.7 ppg in Poland), named mvp of the Polish league.

                - Biella signed guard Nemanja Jaramaz (Mega Vizura), a member of Serbian U20 NT. He averaged 14.2 ppg in the Serbian league and 11.7 ppg in the U20 European championships.

                - Milano should have agreed to terms with Daniel Hackett (3-yr deal) and found an agreement to extend Malik Hairston's contract for the next two seasons (1.5 million dollars per season).

                Cook - Giachetti - Fernandez
                USA - Gentile
                Hairston - Hackett
                Fotsis - Hendrix - Melli
Bouroussis - European player - Rocca

They're expected to sign an American SG/SF (Keith Langford?) and a European player, who will be a backup point guard or a big man (Ndong?).
Mancinelli did not extend his contract and seems to be on his way out, unless they make a higher offer, but given they are going to add Hackett, who can cover all three backcourt spots, I am not sure they will do it. He had an offer from Unicaja Malaga, but Siena is interested too.

Well, it seems that Hackett's signing with Milano is in jeopardy just when the deal was considered done. The reason is that Siena apparently promised him more playing time and a major role overall. It is rumored the offer consists of a 3-yr deal for 1.6 million/euros and Hackett should be about to sign. This may bring lots of consequences such as:

                  - Aradori to Venezia? His playing time may really drop, especially in the case Siena decides to keep Kaukenas.
                  - Mancinelli seemed to be headed to Siena, but now that Milano is about to lose Hackett will they let Mancio go to Siena too? Good for him, I guess Milano will now give him the money he was asking for...

                  - Yakhouba Diawara finally signed with Venezia, but his contract has a get-out clause expiring on July, 20. That's because he's still hoping to get offers from Siena or other Euroleague teams.

                  - After long negotiations, PG Giuseppe Poeta extended his contract with Virtus Bologna. He signed a 3-yr deal.

                  - Marco Cusin got out of his contract and leaves Pesaro. He's close to signing a 2-yr deal with Cantù.

                  - Brindisi trying hard to re-sign Jonathan Gibson, their big-time scorer of the last playoffs. He's plenty of offers both from Italy and from other countries, plus he should be focused on chasing his NBA dream, as he will play in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Cantù said they will look for an American PG, any idea who they are targeting?

What do you think Siena should do about Aradori? He seemed like he was going to really break through at the end of the Euroleague group stage (especially the game against Barca), but didn't seem to sustain that progress.

Are Venezia a rising force? Sounds like they are being fairly ambitious after making the playoffs last year.

Yes, Cantù will sign an American PG. I have no clue about who will be, definitely not Doron Perkins who was awful. They need a starter, as a backup they will only confirm one of the players under contract (Cinciarini, Tabu). Guess they will go on with Cincia, although he comes from a very disappointing season but his contract does not include any get-out clause, while Tabu's (who had a very good campaign as a starter in Cremona) one does. Trinchieri himself would like to keep the Belgian player, but I think it's difficult.

If I were Siena I'd definitely keep Aradori, but it seems the coaching staff and the front office just don't feel much confident about him. Of course the guy wants to play but if Siena signs Hackett and keeps Kaukenas I don't think he's going to see much playing time. Varese is also very interested.

Definitely. Venezia is very rich and planning to burst into the league's elite soon. They are very ambitious, maybe they won't be contenders for the title this season, but they will likely go for it next year. Expect them to be semifinals' stuff, anyway. Right now, besides Milano and Siena I think Venezia and Cantù are the third force in the league financially, most of the other teams will have a decreased budget with some exceptions (Varese and Sassari appear solid as newly promoted Reggio Emilia and Brindisi). Unfortunately, after Benetton's era came to an end, Treviso is facing a dramatic situation and right now they're close to collapse. Consider Teramo gone. Chances that Casale Monferrato will be playing in Serie A despite they got relegated are very high.

Richard Mason Rocca likely to leave Milano to joing his former coach Piero Bucchi in Brindisi. As anticipated yesterday, Mancinelli confirmed he's closer to agree to terms with Milano to keep playing there.

Veteran Spanish C Albert Miralles (Biella) is going to leave Biella to sign a 1-yr deal with Reggio Emilia.

                        - Siena apparently close to ink SG Aubrey Coleman (Biella). Not a very good shooter (24% from beyond the arc), but he's a scorer (18.3 ppg) and a very good defender, especially on the ball (3.3 steals). Also, one of the most athletic players in the league. We'll see if he really gets signed, in that case and with Hackett joining the team Siena would have three defensive aces in their backcourt (Coleman, Hackett, Moss) + McCalebb, if he stays (kinda hard, bluntly, but let's hope) and we know how good he is defensively, too. David Andersen has offers from CSKA and Real Madrid, Siena wants to get rid of him and use the money of his buyout for further additions.

                        - Cantù loses Vladimir Micov, who agreed to terms with CSKA. They are planning to build a more athletic team but considering their moves I don't think they're going to be so explosive, at least not around the rim (Leunen, Scekic, Cusin, Marconato...). They're considering whether to keep Mazzarino or not, if he stays they won't be able to sign USA/Ita C David Chiotti (9 ppg + 7 rbp last season with Casale), who currently appears closer to sign with Sassari.

                        - Tiny PG Andre Collins, who also holds a Bulgarian passport, leaves Italy for the first time since playing professionally. He's headed to Turkey.

                        - Milano denied to be in talks with Keith Langford.

                          - CSKA made a huge offer to Malik Hairston, who was about to extend his deal with Milano. It's rumored the player is now close to move to Russia. It would be the 2nd player (besides Hackett) that Milano fails to ink. They're now eyeing Marcelus Kemp (Besiktas), but I would not be surprised if they go after David Hawkins, who just left Besiktas too. It would be a 3rd comeback for him in Milano. As expected and despite denying negotiations, they're going to sign Keith Langford (2-yr deal). They let Rocca go to replace him with USA/Ita C David Chiotti, this is a smart move as Chiotti is some kind of a younger Rocca.

                          - Siena is very interested in C Linton Johnson, but Avellino has good chances to confirm him. They also should manage to keep their best player, PG Marques Green.

                          - Belgian PG Jonathan Tabu heads back to Cantù. He will be their backup PG, after playing a very good season on loan as a starter in Cremona. This means that Andrea Cinciarini - very disappointing indeed - should leave.

                            - In the end Malik Hairston turned down big offers from CSKA, Fenerbahce and Barcelona and officially re-signed with Milano. It is a 2-yr deal.

                            - Milano also signed SG Keith Langford (2 yr deal - 1.25 k Euros per season). Mancinelli definitely on his way out, his agent said he has an offer from another Italian team but he's seriously considering to play in a foreign league. If he goes, Luigi Datome seems to be the main candidate to replace him as a backup SF, although he also has offers from Cantù and Virtus Bologna. Then they just need to sign a backup PG (small chances for Bremer to be confirmed) to complete the roster.

                            O.Cook - ? - J.Giachetti
                            K.Langford - A.Gentile
                            M.Hairston - L.Datome?
                            A.Fotsis - R.Hendrix - N.Melli
                            I.Bouroussis - D.Chiotti

                            - Siena officially announced the signing of Daniel Hackett (Pesaro). He penned a 2-yr deal. Meanwhile they lost Nikos Zisis who agreed to terms with Bilbao.
Next signing could be Aubrey Coleman.

                            - Venezia appears to be very close to sign Sani Becirovic. He wished to remain in Treviso but due to the team's current problems he has to consider other offers and apparently Venezia managed to convince him. Quite odd, considering they already agreed to terms with Ivan Zoroski although they still have to make this move official. Alvin Young and Tim Bowers are very close to be confirmed too. The roster should be something like this:

                            K.Clark - S.Becirovic - G.Meini
                            A.Young - I.Zoroski
                            Y.Diawara - T.Bowers - G.Rosselli
                            S.Szewczyk - T.Fantoni
                            E.Williams - D.Magro

Not bad for a team that's not even competing in any European cup.

                            - Cantù will not keep Gianluca Basile. He's had a very good offer from Brindisi. Another player who could move from Cantù and sign with Brindisi is Andrea Cinciarini who has a lot of offers (Reggio Emilia and other teams).

                            - Avellino agreed to terms with C Linton Johnson, who's going to be confirmed. It seems that PG Marques Green will stay too.

                            - Sean May said he would like to stay in Montegranaro and added he could accept to re-sign for a lower salary. Was playing very good before suffering a season-ending injury. Montegranaro also interested in confirming Coby Karl.

Does Basile leaving and Chiotti signing elsewhere mean Mazzarino will stay in Cantù after all?

How many foreign spaces do Milano have left and could they end up having an extra foreign player for Euroleague only?
