One of the two biggest companies in Turkey, Koç group finally showed some interest in bball. I hope that would trigger the other financial giants.

New Sponsorship Agreement for TBL: BEKO Basketball League
Turkish Basketball Federation has signed new sponsorship agreement with Arçelik A.Ş. during the ceremony held today in Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Turkish 1st Division Men's League will be played as 'BEKO Basketball League starting on 6th October 2006 in Mersin, with the game between Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi and Efes Pilsen.
Turgay Demirel, President of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Dr. Bülent Bulgurlu, President of the Durable Consumer Goods Dept of Koç Group and Aka Gündüz Özdemir, President of Arçelik came together to sign the sponsorship agreement. The partnership ceremony organised at the Hyatt hotel drew a lot of prominent names from the Turkish Basketball Family and media as well.
President Demirel, proud of the partnership, stated "We have concluded an agreement with BEKO, a world brand which will provide benefits for all our clubs. On behalf of of our clubs, our basketball family and Board of Directors, we are happy to officially announce the new name of the Turkish Basketball League - BEKO Basketball League - for the next four years."
Dr. Bulgurlu stated: "Leading companies of the Koç Group have been contributing to the Turkish economy for the past 80 years. Among them, Arçelik, which is a leader in innovation and development has realised this partnership through its BEKO brand and will contribute strongly to the sport of basketball and the Turkish youth."
Mr. Özdemir stated: "BEKO has achieved the great success of selling its products on a global scale in 106 countries... We strongly believe that our new partnership will provide substantial support towards the development of our league and young sportsmen."
