Venezuela by 4 (84-81)

Puerto Rico by 26 (86-60)

Argentina by 32 (92-60)

Brazil by 6 (74-68)

Only Venezuela has the power to win by three points and yet make everyone recognize it as a four point win.

Bow down to the Greatness that is Hugo Chavez;)

Then again, maybe China can do it too? Whats your perspective on this Sinobball? Is this how China eliminates us in two straight World Championships?

Im not watching the game, but I imagine Cisco Garcia on Greivis making his life a living hell, and Horford and JMM dominating Pepito on the inside.

Venezuela up 8 at the half (real life)

And I want to ask PR again, why they didn't try to score in the game vs China, when they had ball and 15sec left.. WHY?I hope for your sake it doesn't happen again, at least not now... I still would like to see China grouped with PR in the Olympics :D

Mother****!! Venezuela gain blows it in the fourth.

Hope this is the last time coach Musselman lets Lebron James play with the team, or at least for the fourth quarter.

what a fucking game !!!

sorry for my language. :D

Musselman got outcoached ;) Great defensen in the last play, Venezuela was looking for the 3 with Vasquez and we triple-teamed him and force him to drive. Why didn't they do that the whole game?

anyways, I'm glad we had a game this rough so early, this we'll serve as great preapration for the team becasue we only had 3 warnup games coming into this event. but I hope they don't play like this agaisnt Canada tomorrow.

Kudos to Eulis Baez, he and Flores owned Venezuela. We basically played without the helped of the NBA players. Villanueva and Garcia have to wake up if we hope to sneak into the Semis.

is this the best game of the whole year so far or what? coming back from 18 point in the last 2 quaters with venezuela shooting 40% from 3, are you kidding me, like Jeff Van Gundy would say

I understimated venezuela they have a great team, and a great great great coach, They will make a lot of noise in the second round.

Puerto Rico-Paraguay 101-55

After years of domination, finally the paraguayans took pity on us and let us win a game.

K2, well with everyone playing like twenty minutes or less per game, its good to keep our game high and not go bored to the Argentina game.

Did Santiago seriously see 8 minutes of action?

How come we never saw these big wins against weak teams when Manolo was our coach?

How the heck is Bimbo Carmona our top scorer?

Misterious questions indeed....

Come on! Manolo was about to win the BSN with the Pirates before they caused mutiny in the ship and tossed him off board:D

Damn... the horror, the horror... Argentina leads 53-19 at halftime.

Doubt Esteban Batista can put up 25 in the second half:(

Argentina-Uruguay 86-51

Okay Im getting serious to make a point.

The most impressive quality about Argentina is their type of offense. I was impressed about how easy it is to score, especially for their NBA players. Its like no problem for them. Teams like Puerto Rico, need to run, and make defensive plays to then turn them into offense. Other teams like Spain need to shoot 40 free throws to just get to 80 points. No such thing for Argentina. If you dont defend these guys, it will be over before it even starts.

About their defense, well back in 2009 Uruguay scored 66 points against the "Only with Scola" Argentina, and they actually tried to win that game while this one they rotated players like Puerto Rico did against Paraguay, so they didnt really come to win.

Cant hate on them though since they play 4 straight starting with this game.

Serious mode off.

You suck Batista! Cost me the scorer of the day award.:D

Brazil-Canada 69-57

Brazilians bad body odor strikes again. Nothing much to say because I couldnt watch the game live. dont know if it was bad shooting or great defense from both teams.

Who was todays top scorer? Horford with 20?

:D

Duncan

Brazil once again left it until the 4th quarter to make any run. The starters had to play major minutes in the 2nd half to win the game.

They really miss Barbosa, because Alex Garcia seems to have no basketball IQ whatsoever.

Machado, Huertas, Splitter, and Gio carried them pretty much.

Will need to do much better to have any chance of reaching the Final
