  • Sireika blaiming macas?

is it true that sireika blamed macas for what happened with spain?
i read in a greek site that he said that in the training before the game his was nervous and asked him if he wanted to play from the start and mace answered that he is ok but it will be better not to start the game!and during the game he didn't even understand the orders that the coachees were giving!
he also said that the one year in the nba without playing have made macas lost his confidense!that he is afraid to play his game and make the shots!

    are these true?

He isn't blaming macas for a loss against spain. in fact he said blame me ..
he was asked by journalists what's the problem with macijauskas and the what rchos7 said in first post was sireika's answer.

he was indeed heavily critisizing Macas (among other things) after the loss against Greece. Sireika was hugely dissapointed in him, but only after the Greece game.
also the fact that Macas yelled at Sireika "Controll the team!" is true, but it was during the Greece game. generally Macas was the main factor behind our wins along with Songaila, imho. I don't want to talk about the Spain match though.. majority of our leaders were invisible. Kleiza suddenly became our best player after having 5 rather poor games :/ second best player was, without a doubt, Kalnietis......... that tells it all.

Eurobasket.lt quotes greek journalist "You, lithuanians, are soft. If same will happen in Greece, we will show Macas and that tall one (long pause) Jabutokias their places. They will return to Lithuania soft as silk". If that was the same journalist I wouldn't trust him

He said that macas was very nervous. Then asked "who's to blame for defeat" he replied "I told players that search of guilty will not lead to good. Nobody can win champioship alone and against Spain there was no Lithuanian NT"
