Former Basketball League Chairman Yirmi Olmert, brother of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, has been arrested on suspicion that he assaulted a sports journalist during a basketball game in Ganei Tikvah.
The journalist, Omer Benovich, sustained light wounds to his face and was rushed to the hospital. No motive has been detected as of yet. The league said in response that it was "sorry for the incident that took place following the game". (Ehud Cohanim)
