      Mexico defeated Belize for the second time in a row at the COCABA Tournament by the score of 91-72.

      The Mexicans won the first half 51-31 and never looked back at Belize.

      Victor Mariscal led Mexico with 17 points while Enrique Zuniga netted 15.

      Now Mexico will face Belize again at home on May 16 and 17.


      The players will train in Quintana Roo beach as they prepare to end their first round of the tournament.

      The COCABA Tournament is a qualifier for the Centrobasket Tournament.

        MEX - Mexico is the COCABA Champion

        FRESNILLO (COCABA) - The Mexican National Team defeated Costa Rica and repeated as the COCABA Champion by the score of 101-84.

        Victor Avila netted 26 points, Enrique Zuniga 20 and Horacio Llamas 13.

        Hernol Gardener scored 30 points for Costa Rica ho won only a game in the series.

        Mexico and Costa Rica already qualified for the Centrobasket Tournament that will be played in Panama from July 4-8.

        The Mexicans will also play on the Central American and Caribbean Games later this month in Colombia.
