Naturally every team would like to win gold, and for some it is indeed gold or bust, but what do you think your team's realistic expectations are for this tournament?

If Yao can play, the expectation:qualify from the group.
If Yao can't,the expectation:at least win one game....

To get a (any) medal would be a great and not so unrealistic achievement for Lithuania.

Well our new coach says he doesnt dare to predict a medal. He says the goal is to get second spot in group stage and than advance into the top 8 teams.
Considering he still doesnt have the list of players that will play for our NT, i have to say these are quite big expectations.
Bottom line, getting into top 8 would be a good enough achivement in my book.

Our NT leaders say its 1/4 F, but for me its 1/2 F. If we did it at the Eurobasket without Smodis, Udrih, Dragic, and with Rizvic playing like he is, i don't see why we couldn't do it again at the Worlds, its basically the same competition with USA, Argentina, added to the mix.

go trough group is must do. other is to show we can play good. main goal and expectation to found some new names. probably main focus will be give chance and test Tomic and Barac. From rest of young players I give chances for Bogdanovic to make in roster, others are way unready

Without Nash, I don't expect much, unfortunately. Maybe they could win one game. If Nash plays, that could make things interesting.

Our dream is to make it to second round , it was very very close in 2006 and now we set this goal to achieve!
Technically , it isn't easy with the presence of teams such as Lithuania,Spain,France,Canada and New Zealand although we keep on our hopes through the games Vs Canada and New Zealand!

Is there any hope to see him playing for Canada?

Not unless he changes his mind. Nash hasn't played with the Canadian NT since 2003.

"Nash again led Team Canada during qualifying for the 2004 Summer Olympics at the Americas Olympic Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was named tournament MVP, but Canada finished fourth, missing out on the three Olympic spots available. That was the last time Nash played for Canada. In December 2007, he said, "In my mind right now, I'm not going to play for Canada any more"

My dream is to see Jasikevicius and Nash playing in WC2010. But chances that Nash will play are small, and chances that Sharas will play are even smaller :(

Say what? What is that ground on? My sources- Šaras interview by him self and Kemzūra's announcement after the chat with him- are saying that chances to see Šaras in WC is very positive. Or in other words, if he's healthy his answer is "yes". Do you know something we don't?

The thing is that Nash doesn't want to take a spot away from deserving player. He never said he wouldn't play.

Serbia returned to the top after EC2009. I think that was the youngest team we ever had. Personally, i would love to see that same team on the WC without Jaric, Stojakovic and rest of the NBA players (Jaric is Real now, ok :P), becouse, this youngsters have a great desire to play, and I enjoy watching them play. With just a few players to would be good to come (such as Rakocevic and Darko) we will be candidates for a medal, for sure.

My expectations for Serbian team are modest. They should keep improving as a team and continue to grow together. Our main objective is London 2012 . I think our team will be at their best when that time arrives.
