I have loved Connecticut and was so delighted when they were the Champion of Women's NCAA...
they are really good players.
 
Rising junior Kaela Davis left Georgia Tech, new destination unknown.

Davis already changed high school (she left Norcross, where she was teaming up with Diamond DeShields, for Buford).
 
More transfers.

Virginia post player Sarah Imovbioh will move from Virginia to South Carolina for her final year (sitting out next season). Interestingly, Imovbioh played for the short-lived U19 Nigerian NT that was expected to compete at the 2011 WC but couldn't make the travel and withdrew from the tournament. A teammate of Imovbioh in that same unlucky team, Elem Ibiam, has just completed her collegiate career with Gamecocks...

Temi Fagbenle, another post player who also roots from Nigeria but plays for Great Britain's Sr NT, will transfer to South California as a graduate student (from Harvard) and should be immediately eligible yo play.

Other notable transfers with destination unknown (so far), soph Jessica Washington leaving UNC, Jannah Tucker to transfer from Tennessee and All-Am guard Lexie Brown asking for release from Maryland.
 
Yet another transfer from North Carolina, 2015 leading scorer Allisha Gray has been granted release to transfer to another school.

After Diamond De Shields and Jessica Washington, Gray is the third transfer from UNC's four top players 2013 recruiting, as just center Stephanie Mavunga is still with Tar Heels.

UCLA PG Recee Caldwell also requested to be transferred. She didn't play the 2nd part of 2014-15 season for injury.
 
Allisha Gray will transfer from North to South Carolina. Gamecocks have also added other two transfers in Kaela Davis (ex Georgia Tech) and Sarah Imovbioh (Virginia).

Another Tar Heel 2013 recruit, Stephanie Mavunga has been granted release. UNC athtletic department has recently been charged by NCAA with several violations.
 
A group of current and ex NCAA players is on tour in Poland under the trademark name Athletes in Action.
This organisation is historically present in different sports also internationally.
AiA women team will play on June 24-26 an international tournament with U20 national teams of France, Latvia and host Poland, preparing for Euro championship.

The touring AiA team ended the U20 Polish tournament 2-1, winning over Poland and Latvia and losing to France, which is one the favorites at the upcoming U20 EuroBasket and finished unbeaten in Poland.

All the players previously mentioned showed up, except Canadian Riché. Judy Jones, Breanna Lewis, Lauren Brown and Monique Billings were the team's top performers.
 
There's a lot of NCAA among the U20 National teams participating in European championship, currently in its final phase.

UConn head coach Geno Auriemma is willing to additionally experiment further "internationally-compliant" changes in an exhibition game the Huskies will play with Vanguard on Nov 8.

From Hartford Courant Oct 26:
The NCAA has accepted UConn's request to test a number of possible rules changes as an experiment for the exhibition game against Vanguard Nov. 8. Changes include: a 16-foot lane, four feet wider than normal; the three-point line at the international distance of 22 feet, 1 inch, as opposed to 20-9; a 24-second shot clock that resets only to 14 seconds after an offensive rebound; no timeouts allowed unless you possess the ball; teams must advance to the frontcourt in eight seconds, not 10; and the larger men's basketball will be in use. Vanguard coach Russ Davis agreed to the experiment.

"I wanted them to lower the basket, but we can't get that," said Auriemma, referring to a long-time cause célèbre. "We did a rough estimate, what the average height of an NBA team, average height of a men's college team and a women's college team and we figured that about four inches [lower] would be really good, 9 foot 8, and not even tell anybody and see if anybody noticed — until the first time Stewie went up and dunked it. It wouldn't be about that, just be able to play at the rim. I would like to see what that would look like."

Would've been intriguing to see if game's spectacle would improve by lowering the baskets, with taller players battling at the rings, but it seems there is still to wait...
 
Another transfer hits Kentucky, as returning guard Linnae Harper announced she will part way from Wildcats. Neither the reasons nor next destination are known so far.
Quite a surprising move from Harper, named SEC All-Def team and who played last summer with US team at the Pan Am games.
 
2015 top recruit Jessica Shepard had 29 pts and 12 rebs for Nebraska in just 17' action in an exhibition game won against Div II Nebraska-Kearney, 92-54.
It was the first the game for Shepard after suffering an ACL tear at the end of 2014.
 
2015-16 season opened on Friday with a big match and close win of South Carolina over Ohio State, 88-80. Aja Wilson and Alaina Coates were the dominant bigs for Gamecocks, but Ohio State's backcourt was unstoppable with soph Kelsey Mitchell (last season's national top scorer) connecting for 36 and Ameryst Alston for 23.

Courtney Williams scored 34 in South Florida easy win over Jacksonville.

After in-house issues and players flight, North Carolina is fielding just six players and is already 0-1.
 
UConn made a clear statement in season's debut routing Ohio State 100-56. All-American candidates Breanna Stewart and Moriah Jefferson led the way with 24 and 21 pts, while Buckeyes duo Kelsey Mitchell and Ameryst Alston were held together to 15 pts.

#6 ranked Florida State was upset by Florida and lost Leticia Romero of Spain for injury (ankle).

Strong start of Oregon State, led by Canadian ace Jamie Weisner, while former USA junior NT world champ Jordan Adams has finally taken the lead of Southern California both in scoring and rebounding. Nebraska freshman Jessica Shepard is currently leading the team with over 25 pts and 11 reb after two wins.
 
Senior Bashaara Graves was perfect in scoring to lead Tennessee over Penn State in a close game, hitting 8/8 FG and FT for a total of 24 pts (and 13 reb).

Nearly perfect was Texas sr center Imani Boyette (aka McGee-Stafford) with 12/13 Fg and 1/1 FT, missing only one three pointer. She also collected 14 reb, though in a very easy win.

Meantime, Duke suffered its first loss to Texas A&M, despite 22 pts by Rebecca Greenwell, same as Courtney Walker's for the winners.
