Why we don t make a Middle East League ?

as we know that the basketball in middle east is becoming very popular ,and specially that 3 teams from ME are in world cup ,Iran Lebanon and jordan ...
Plus the Teams in middle east are dominating the asian tournaments and all the friendly tournaments ...
and many teams have a high level
like :
Lebanon : Riyadi , Champville , Hoops , Muttahed ,Sagesse
Iran: Mahram ,Zob ahan , Saba ,Petrochimi
Syria: Jalaa Club
Jordan: ASU and Zain
Egypt :Ittihad iskandaria ,Gezira
Bahrain:manama
Kuwait:quadisia
quatar:Rayyan and gharaffa
UAE:Al nasr
KSA: hilal

look what if we do a league ,like in europe adriatic league ,Euro league ...

what if we do ME League ,who can create really a big competition

with the apperance of Riyadi ,Champville ,Jalaa, Zain ,ASU ,Mahram ,Zob Ahan ,Itiihad iskandariya , Rayyan ,Quadisia ...

it will be really a competition to watch with hot matches

what is your opinion?? hope we do this idea in the future years

1- This is a good idea in theory but it is very hard to implement, for very small reasons teams would quite this leauge.

2- It was tried a few years ago and it failed..

3- Fiba will not allow this easily.

Neverthless if such thing happens it can take basketball in the area to another level..

are you talking about WASL league when sagesse and saba met in the final that wasn't completed????


guys i remember last year they talked about lebanon-uae league but this league didn't take place.

1- This is a good idea in theory but it is very hard to implement, for very small reasons teams would quite this leauge.

Gazara, I would be ecstatic if this happened, but like Ajjour said, the implementation is very hard. Travel would be too expensive and the teams with bigger budgets would dominate. I would love to see something like this in the Mid-East region and South America. The players in those regions are so talented and deserve to be on a bigger international stage.
