with no doubt in my mind, Carlos Arroyo
Second choice Luis Scols
there would be no third choice for me.

Between Scola and Arroyo.

Arroyo calms the hurricane that is the rest of the PR, who are turnover prone and not great ball handlers...Arroyo is amongst the leaders in points, assist, FG% and 3pt %...his assist to runover is amongst the best.

In FIBA, PG's are more valuable to a team...

But Scola has been the biggest beast in the tournament...no one can stop his scoring. He hasn't dominated the boards...

Scola. Argentina would not have qualified to Turkey without him.

The thing Scola has over any other player in this tourney to win the award is that, He has no one else on the team who could help him offensilly in a regular basis, Prigioni's good but he's not a scorer.

Carlos Arroyo had Ayuso, Sanchez, Ramos, Santiago, Diaz, Rivera, Vallaso, etc.

Horfrod had Flores and Villanuea, and Jack Martinez, and Garcia (for a while).

Pinnock had Lloreda, and the point guard(whose name I can't remember)

barbosa had Splitter, Huertas, Varejao, Alex Garcia

Batista had the point guard (what was is name:D: Asimi, Osuni, Osimani:confused::p) and the Shooting Guard Garcia

I am going with Scola. Without him, Argentina would have been 8th or 7th in this tourney. Arroyo played bad in the first two quarters of each game as the whole team did.

Splitter and Varejao ? How many games did you attend? Splitter had some sub-par performances while Varejao was not nearly as dominant as Scola. Arroyo, like I said, played great but had a better support then Scola and could even rest on the bench while Rivera and Dalmau helped out on PG and sometimes even better than him like in the semis when PR bounced back with it's second five late in the second Q.

I cant understand discussion about it. Scola was clearly the tournament MVP by a large margin.
