Who win will Eurobasket?

Looking at the schedule and the way it will probably play out and how the brackets will probably line up and how individual match ups look like they will be, at the moment I will go with:

Greece - Gold Medal

Spain - Silver Medal

Slovenia - Bronze Medal
 
Greece - France and Turkey will get medals but i dont know who gets gold.

Sorry for Slovenia they lost a player again and i dont think they reach semi-finals.

After watching Russia - Greece game I have to say:

You have to be kidding me... at least have the decency to have your flag on your post!!!

I don't think so. I see problems for the French ahead. Next game they play Greece and if they win they should play Spain in the quarterfinals. I think France is not getting a medal.

If Russia faces Greece again, I think they can win again. Don't underestimate Russia, they have some great defence going on there.

And I agree with kyosphere, we will probably choke on the 1/4 finals.

I'm expecting a bronze for our NT. Hopefully we'll qualify for the final, although it'll be extremely difficult.
 
oh mate I'm so sorry, I made a mistake, i mean we will choke on 1/8 finals. I can't see us beating neither greece, nor russia, nor france and nor croatia. Maybe some of us haven't noticed but we have a terribble offence(except ilyasova).
 
If Greece wins France tomorrow,it's possible to reach the final.if not then the things are a bit more complicated.Besides,i find Russia not a bad team but with max place the 4th.i consider Turkey as a good team for medal contender and Spain is Spain...:)

P.S.has noticed anyone the extremely low number of the crowd in Eurobasket games???what happens??i think its gonna be the worst tournament on this matter and it is really dissapointing to watch games like Serbia-Turkey,Greece-Russia with so few fans...:mad:
 
Hey people, the first and most important thing that I would like for my team is to reach the semis. It basically means two chances to medal. However, the MOST difficult game for ALL teams would be the 1/8 final. It doesnt count how good or bad you played the last 6 games. All teams would fight to the end and none would be easy opponent.

With all the respect to Poland, FIBA should understand that for the good of the sport, games like that should be held in places that love the bb

I really believe that we'll qualify for the semis. We don't have a "terrible" offense, we are just missing some easy shots right now. We will catch fire in one of the next games, you'll see.

I can definitely see us beating Croatia. Russia would be a close one, but we match up well against them. France or Greece would be tough ones, especially Greece.

By the way, if we play against the French, it would probably be the ugliest game of the torunament score-wise. 54-52 or something like that wouldn't surprise me at all, considering the two sides wonderful defense and terrible offense.
 
It looks to me as the most difficult tournament I`ve ever watched to predict the champion.So if you don`t mind i will do that a little later...just after the 4th period of the final :cool:
