other than you own team in Turkey?

Let's find out which team will win sympathies of basketball fans.
I know everyone will support their own team (if it is playing), but who else will you support in case, let's say your team gets eliminated... Or on a day when your team is not playing?
 
certainly not Spain and USA except when they will play against each other and i will be the greatest fan of USA .

Usually i prefer the small teams.
 
I voted for Puerto Rico, Argentina, Lithuania and Australia. I would like to see them do well. I would love to see Argentina win, because that would add to their story. I like PR because I have followed their NT for a long time. I'm not sure why I like Australia. And, of course, I like Lithuania because that was the first non-US NT that I paid attention to. I probably should have voted for Brazil, too, since they're from the Americas.

I'm conflicted about whether or not to support Team USA. In the past, I did not exactly support them. I really disliked the '00 team and I wasn't really into '08 either. I think I'm supporting them this year because the team is full of players who want to go to Turkey. They want to compete and want to fight. They also no it's not a "cake walk." So, yeah, I guess I am supporting Team USA this year.

Furthermore, I will actively support the "smaller" NTs, like Angola and Lebanon. Everybody should support the underdogs. Everybody should support the teams that don't have the biggest population or the sexiest stars, but always show up for a good game.

I 'll try to re-vote ,deleting Greece .My choices are Serbia,PR and Turkey .

The other teams from the Americas, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Argentina, and even Canada. Hoping the region can put up a good showing this year.
 
Serbia. I would like to vote for Australia as well but is too late now I guess...:)
 
Delete my vote. I've read only title and wrote, so I made mistake :D I'll support Australia, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia :D
 
Greece, Serbia , Slovenia - because they can give a heck of the fight to USA/Spain armadas

Russia ( missing in the poll, BTW) - because of Blatt
 
I was going to put Russia in the poll, but then again there aren't any Russian members on this board who are active at the WC forum. Same goes for Canada. Also, the poll has a limit of 15 options. The teams are ordered according to the official FIBA rankings.

Btw, does anyone know why Argentina is officially ranked as no. 1? They're not world nor olympic champions... :confused:

My votes go to Greece, Slovenia, China, and Puerto Rico.

Good point! Actually I should vote for USA twice in order to support Puerto Rico as well!
