Who do you think has the best chance of winning the NBA this season?

Hey guys, I'm still new in this forum and I'd like to have your opinion.
Here is mine: the Lakers (Although I hate them)

It all depends on the health of the players on some of the teams imo... A healthy San Antonio roster are still the favorites but now with Duncan's status as unknown and with Manu's slight injury last night health is a very ciritical issue for San Antonio...

For the East, Boston are in a slump at the wrong time of the season and I have a hunch it could be Chicago vs. Miami in the Eastern Conference Finals... Both though don't have what it takes yet to win the Championship this season... (They'll be the favorites next year though)

So imo Lakers are the favorites to win it right now.

Note I think all of the teams below have a legit shot at winning the title, and teams like the Mavericks, Magic, and Thunder are entirely capable of upsetting them.

1: Lakers: They're hitting all cylinders right now, and have an outside shot of catching San Antonio for the best record, if they get homecourt advantage it's going to be damn tough to beat them.

2: Spurs: It's health that's the problem, they need to be able to hold onto homecourt then hopefully they can get themselves healthy. Even an injured San Antonio should be able to make it through the first round. But after that they need to be ready with all their guns.

3: Bulls: They seem to have all the pieces, but they've never had a deep run into the playoffs, which makes it hard to trust them completely. But they're a defensive team at their core, and that's what wins in the playoffs.

4: Celtics: They've fallen off the map since the Perkins deal (which I still think was stupid), they're in danger of falling to the third seed, and having to play the Heat and Bulls on the road. Still they proved last year that they can turn it on in the playoffs, even after a disappointing regular season. Too much experience to discount.

5: Miami: They're red hot right now, but they're also beating the crap out of a bunch of below .500 teams. Their defense is in question, their ability to play against the other top 4 teams is still in question, but they have Lebron and Wade. In the playoffs in a close game, a superstar can make all the difference, should they get hot, they are dangerous to anyone and everyone.

Should be one of the most interesting playoffs in years.

These two teams are clearly the cream of the West. I'll take SA since they've been more consistent, but like Khalid said, they're starting to get some injuries now.

I don't think the deal was stupid. They've gotten a lot out of Krstic, but not a lot from Green. Anyhow, I think they're the favorites in the East. Chicago looks OK. Rose has grown on me as a player and I enjoy watching him, but I don't think they're as good as Boston. Miami still hasn't shown a consistency in beating good teams and Orlando is really shaky.

I'll take Boston in the East and ...San Antonio in the West.

Haha, accidently posted thinking it was refering to the season coming up. Makes sense it isnt seeing how its on lockout and a little premature. I still stand by the Thunder though for this year. They really impressed me by their post-season play and considering the average age of the team is 24 and completely has developing talent I think this is their year.

I believe the Denver Nuggets have the best chance of winning the NBA championship this season. Their strong roster and chemistry make them a top contender. However, don't overlook teams like the Kings128, who have shown potential for a surprise run. Watch out for the Kings128—they might just make a statement this year!
