Has to be asked much to Cleveland's disappointment? So where does Lebron end up?

If would be mighty surprised if we seehim in a Cavs uni next season with a load of mediocre players. I'd assume one of the N.Y. teams, with Bulls also being a possibility. Wherever James goes Bosh will follow.

Bodog.com say cavs has 2 out of 5 chance of getting him resign with them (but this was before the east semis debacle)

knicks has 1 out of 3, nets 1 out of 9, bulls 1 out of 18, and mavs 1 out of 25..

New York seems to be the most desirable destination.

in terms of gaining more money and popularity yes.

but championship?nah.

lebron in a run-and-gun, no defense, seven seconds or less offense under d'antoni? tough luck.

I still think he'll be a Cav next year. He's got a perfect situation. It's his hometown team, he has good quality players around him, and he's made it to the Finals recently. Given the global nature of the game, he still gets a lot of exposure in Cleveland and still gets huge marketing deals. Those marketing deals aren't going to increase if he goes to New York. This isn't the '70s where Willis Reed was only shown in the New York TV market. It's 2010. Cavs games are all over TV in every market.

He's going nowhere

after Celtic's fans' chants, I don't think he'd like to prove them right, besides if he wins a title with another team next season, even if he has to beat The Celtics to do so, that would not be consider a revenge;)

I expect major changes in Cleveland next season, though. I can see Clev. offering Salmon some cash.

hre's how the cavs can do better. fire their coach and actually hire someone who knows how to runa team isntead of "give the ball to lebron and let him run the offense"

in my blunt opinion cleveland actually has good players, but the system that is being run is thru lebron and the system is only thru him. lets see phil jackson came to coach jordan and said more or less, you score too much and changed the system a bit.

the systen is the biggest weakness in terms of coaching.

if he switched teams, fans all over the world would line-up to buy his jersey in his new team. its business :D

if he stays his cavs, he already said that he'll be changing his number, so that also means a new jersey to sell (as a yahoo analysts pointed out before). again, business.

for lebron though, going to other teams is business beyond jersey, marketing, and media exposure. and sadly, with the way he and his groups are handling this issue, winning an nba title comes second to business.

You might be right but I am sure at some point of his career he will try to get a tittle so bad and it would be the only thing he wants and yes more than money or contracts and having a most selling jersey.
I just hope that this day would be soon.

How about in NY around mediocre players?

The word mediocre does not apply to that team. I believe they have suited 15 random ballboys to fit their jersey's.

What i think James needs is a serious head coach as someone earlier perceptively observed. D'Antony goes against that description (which does not hamper Donnie from getting James).
U can't base your offensive scheme through just one player and hope for the best.

Edit: edited.

A similar plot is brewing: Where does Shaq end up? 4 titles, 3 finals MVPs, 1 MVP and the last active among the celebrated 50 NBA Greats.

On LeBron James, the focus now is whether he will defer his Player's Options clause on his contract and sign to a team that can offer Max contract

Or

Exercise his Player Option and play one more year for Cleveland as Shaq's contract ($20 Million) is officially off the books and the Cavs can sign someone named Chris Bosh. Then there's the issue of the Big Z on whether the Big Z could retire this summer or play 1 more year.

I think everybody knows that you just summed up Mike Brown's entire playbook (except those journalists who voted him as Coach of Year some time ago). However I think his biggest FAILURE is just the opposite: not asking LeBron to take control enough. LeBron has much better supporting cast than he had in 2007 when he single-handedly destroyed the Pistons. But whereas back then he had heart, now he just has ego, and Mike Brown is to be blamed. Sure, we all know his career depends on LeBron but being too nice to your superstar can have this effect.

..He should end up his career to Los Angeles Lakers together w kobe:D

Go to Chicago, Lebron. Better supporting cast, and you can even pick a coach. New York is going to be a mistake for his career--- at least if he wants to get those rings!

A reason more for not re-signing with Cavs?

A reason more for not re-signing with Cavs?

Unconfirmed rumour:

Delonte West Lebron James Mom Affair – Recent rumors have stated that one of the reasons why Lebron is set to leave Cleveland is because his mom and teammate Delonte West have been involved in a romantic relationship. While rumors like this have run rampant in the past, there does not seem to be any correlating evidence behind the claims, other than a few (likely false) testimonials from people that are described as “inside sources.”

“My uncle is the general contractor at the Q and has been for the last 7 years. He is good friends with a lot of guys at the Q including some of the bigger boys in the organization and knows Gilbert personally. I was just told from my brother that a very reliable source informed my uncle that Delonte has been banging Gloria James for some time now. Somehow I guess Lebron found out before game four and it has destroyed our chemistry and divided our team. This is no joke, the only player worse then Lebron has been Delonte. I am not making this up, I wish it wasn’t true but it happened. Wait and see if Lebron stays you will not see Delonte in a cavs uni again.”

The rumor has spread quickly across the Internet. Representatives for Lebron James and Delonte West have yet to comment on the wild story that recently made its way to the Internet. Similar stories have surfaced in the past, including one that stated that Joe Horn had been seeing Willie Roaf’s wife, or that Jeff McInnis had been seeing Phil Ford’s wife. This seems like it could be the case of a popular rumor that has made its way around again. I wouldn’t believe this rumor until it has is a little more proof to back up the speculation that is already out there.
