Are they going to keep him on their roster or ship him to galil. He definately has the height, ability and potential.

Both have a brighter future than Sara's career.

"Brighter future" doesn't mean squat - that's speculation. Now will they HAVE a better career than Sharas is to be determined.

As for Anton, I haven't heard anything about what they are going to do with him.

Shimon Mizrachi said after Maccabi TA young team won the championship few days ago, that Shotvin and Sean Daniel will start to train with the first team. Is that an indication for the next season...? We"ll wait and see.

Both, Shutvin and Daniel are fucking morons if they are even thinking about playing for Maccabi next year. We saw enough examples of young players totally waisting their time in Maccabi "first" team as poster boys. The brightest one till now was Casspi, he waisted only 1 year before going to Galil. Shutvin and Daniel should waist none. I heard that Daniel thinks about going to play in college, and that is a big mistake imho. He will be eaten alive there, like Gal Mekel was. Israeli kids are just not physically developed enough at this age to play against those American kids from devision 1.

I agree that it would be best if Shoutvin and Daniel did not play for Maccabi and instead play on a team that will give them more PT. However, I disagree with your assessment that Daniel shouldn't play in the NCAA. I also disagree with you on Israelis being basically physicially inferior to play with Americans. The college game is much different then the NBA and Mekel's struggles had to do with his inconsistancy of his supposed strengths, much less trying to improve his weaknesess (Sharas has had the same problem in the NBA).

As far as the "American gorillas" comment, I won't even touch that:rolleyes:

Mekel looked like a boy playing against grownups, it was fucking ridiculous and you must be blind if you didn't see that.
As for you calling me a moron, I believe that was extremely inappropriate
and you should be at least warned for unprovoked personal insult of another member. That's a very bad behavior for such a sweet good mannered young man like yourself.

Anton Shoutvin when he gains weight will have a more successful career than Sean Daniels or Gal Mekel. The only reason Wichita State acquired Mekel was to have him be a good teammate for Caspi. Caspi backed out of Wichita State at the last minute because he would had to sit a year and Wichita State's coach was furious about it.

.

And back to Mekel - he wasn't ready, and that doesn't says a thing about Sean Daniel. By the way, his father also did college (I believe there he meet his wife...) and was fine...

Mekel is all Israelis now? Amit Tamir did allright, Doron Sheffer and Nadav Hendfeld were great. Not too mention the many other Israelis that played in the U.S.

Cal was great for Amit Tamir. Where is he now?

I watched the youth championship final today - Maccabi TA: Ironi Ramat Gan (replay) and liked Daniel - he had almost triple double in first half already and did it in second. Shotvin was solid, but he is still unpolished...

I'm sorry...Where did I say that Israelis can't play in the NCAA ?
Sure they can, when they get into college at the age of 20 - 21 as freshmen, like Sheffer, Henefeld and Tamir did. Otherwise they are just too inferior physically, like Mekel was and Daniel will be if he goes now.

Put Daniel in the NCAA instead and suddenly he is not nearly quick or strong enough to drive to the basket, looks ridiculous as he is totally overpowered. Can't shoot the 3, cuz he is not given space to take the shot, cuz he got no drive. No assists for that same reason, cuz he just can't create and no rebounds - he is just a poor jewish kid playing against overgrown ones :)

Anyway, as Sean himself said in interview that it's not decided yet. They look for options abroad.

If you're posting that Daniel would be benched in favor of an older guard in the NCAA you're right. He could develop into a top NCAA guard but that's not a sure thing.

What, and he would of been a star if he didn't go? Besides - like usual - you missed the point. We were talking about Israeli capablility to play in the NCAA. He was capable.

Inferior physically? Your inferiority complex? There are plenty of American kids that have the same physical level of Israelis (as if they are all the same) and vice versa. Overall however, the top Israeli youth players don't go to the NCAA.

Depends on the team and the level of the division. You're being too general. Stop with the poor Jewish kid crap. Tell that to Jon Scheyer, Jordan Farmar and Dan Grunfeld. Don't even wanna know what was originally in place of "ones."

Wow, we agree.

Amit Tamir would of been better of never going to Cal. Where is he now?
