I'm gonna lean more towards:

PF - Davon Jefferson; Ido Kozikaro (or 5)
SF - Moshe Mizrachi
C - Jeremy Tyler; Ben Strong (or 4)
PG - Dror Hagag; Amit Ben David
SG - Jesse Pellot-Rosa; Jason Rich; Todd Golden

I think Ido will start at the 5 at the beginning, but Jeremy will be the starter as the season goes on (more of a 5 then 4, especially in Israel).

So far a desent roster, though they still need a SF. Anyone heard rumors?

Ok, calm down. :p

However he is more of a natural 2, and Haifa still needs a 3.
No they don't. There isn't any other better Israeli that can afford and sign, and they have to have two of them on the court at all times. Actually his place at the lineup is the most certain minutes wise of all the other Israelis at the team, If they don't sign the point guard which they still need.

Well there are only 10 spots filled - which leaves at least two more spots available - that leaves one for a SF (which they only have one true 3), which they need (depth), and yes, I can see a PG for the next.

players 11 and 12 will be only for the roster, for the pictures, not sugnificant. the only player they might brign later is another big guy american.

Actually, the 11th and 12 players are there for depth. Most teams have over 12 players (up to 15, hence youth and pictures, and even more depth if need be).

But, I digress. Anywho, with Tyler, Strong, Jefferson and Kozikaro, I'm not sure they are in need of another big man since it seems to be their strongest part of the team.

I would agree more with Arnold that a playmaker is more of a need.

Speculation aside, anyone heard of any rumors?

Well it looks like they signed another guard - Assaf Cohen. They still seem to lack size at the wings.

Who? never heard of him, probably just another peeler.
They still need a Point guard.

Maybe the most intersting team in the Israeli basketball right now.

In the "Semmi official" games of Winner cup i noticed the following things:

1. Haifa missing Perkins. It seems to me, that Perking left a big hole at the roster of Haifa.

2. The Israeli players of Haifa can be the difference between another solid season to a great wining trophy season. Benda and Hajaj are decent guards, that can explode in a single game, If they come in their best shape to the Final 4, they can make troubles for any team.
Kuzikaro suprise me, very very very good games at the winner cup.

3. It's Jefferson's team. He will be the go to guy, He is a good player and got what it takes to be a superstar in the Israeli league. But he is so young, It's a little bit frightening to give him the ball in the money time.

4. It was quite funny to watch tyler in the game, He goes to the low post, raises his hand, but didn't get the ball. You can see from his reaction that he use to be the best player of his team. He had bad games, but I believe that Avi Ashcenazi will benifit the best from Tyler as he did with Jefferson last season.

Mamadou N'Diaye (34, 2.14) signed for the team.
I remember he performed very well at Zalgiris two years ago, but a torn ACL finished his short spell there.

So Relegation wasn't at their arms way at any part of the season as I wished, but an early playoffs exit with a home court advantage is quiet sufficient. Adding to that an early exit at the state cup and mister flop Jeremy Tyler, its safe to say that the Jeff Rosen Project has taken a few steps back after the last successful season. EuroCup turn down-crime and punishment.

Yeah, definitely a let down for Maccabi Haifa. Let's see who they go after in the off season.

today they have already signed assistant coach elad hasin as the head coach for next season.

Great signing as i see it!

This season is a total failure for Maccabi Haifa just because of the owner Jeff Rosen

He forced a bunch of useless players ( included The Flop: Tyler) on the coach and waited for the team to reach final four :D

The team was mainly on the shoulders of Kozikaro & Jefferson, so it was just a matter of time when aging Kuzi will be sidelined with injury and Jefferson will run out of air.

Funny enough , the one who paid the price was a coach , the man who brought a roster with no PG, no center and no bench to regular season top4

I wouldn't say no PG or bench (though not at the post positions). The problem is how much money Mr. Rosen is looking to spend if the wants to play with the big boys. It's one thing spending "smart" it's another just being cheap. Maccabi Haifa was built to beat Israel's smaller/weaker teams, but he seems to think that's enough to get him into Europe.

He has spent money and time on selling the team, now he needs to help build a good team. I too don't think the firing of Ashkenazi was smart, but if he was going to fire him, why not a proven (money?) coach that will lead them into Europe?

As expected, coach Ashkenazi didn't sign a new contract with the club.
His assistant Elad Hassin was promoted to the head coach position, with former Point guard and National league coach of recent years, Ami Nawi, as assistant coach.

Gaurd Avi Ben Shimol is the first signing of the club for the new season, a two year contract was signed.
