At 2-5 in the Pac-10, Arizona itself might be a bit of a doormat, but that doesn't make it OK to just go around and wipe your feet on Chase Budinger's face.

That's what Houston's Aubrey Coleman did to Budinger yesterday, and while I can't say for sure that I know the man's intent, you know, he did stomp on a guy's face, showed no signs of offering any kind of apology, and smiled while receiving a congratulatory "Hey, way to step on that guy's face!" high-five on his way off the floor. To me, that's unsportsmanlike.

Arizona went on to win 96-90 in overtime, despite the fact that Houston led 63-51 at the time of the face-stomping. Consider that your daily dose of karma, Mr. Coleman.

Yep, this is completely disgusting. After Aubry Coleman was rigthfully ejected, I loved the fact that Arizona came back from 8 down with 40 seconds remaining to send it to overtime, and eventually win. VERY happy to see karma working.

Despite that scumbag "apologizing" today (saying it was ACCIDENTAL) I think Coleman should be suspended the rest of the season, maybe the rest of his college career (he is a junior).

"I want to apologize to Chase Budinger for what happened Saturday night. I never meant to step on him," Coleman said in a statement issued by the school. "I have never been in an incident like this before, and I have nothing but respect for him as a great player.

"I love the game too much to do something like that intentionally. I want to say I am sorry from the bottom of my heart," Coleman said. "I know that God knows what is in my heart, but I am hopeful that Chase will understand and forgive." (ESPN link)

What a punk. Only apologizing, knowing that his career could be in jeopardy.

His actions were not only blatant, but was done so in such a disrepectful, inhumane way. Who steps on someone's head? Those type of moves (which I have seen too many in recreational games), and players like Coleman, have no place in sports much less our society. I would even go as far as saying assualt charges should be filed against him, as they do sometimes in hockey.

That is just awful. Did he get suspended or disciplined or anything?
