MEX - Mata can't wait to represent Mexico

MEXICO CITY (FIBA Americas Championship) - Mexican center Lorenzo Mata of UCLA can't wait to represent Mexico internationally.

Mata said to La Opinion that he will represent Mexico "honorably, playing with all my heart".

He is also between deciding to stay in UCLA or going to the NBA Draft.

"I don't know what is going to happen after the NCAA Tournament. I haven't discussed it with my mother and my stepfater Eduardo Velazquez. The only thing that I can assure you is that I will play for Mexico and call me".

"The federation already talked with my mother ", said Mata.

Mexico will participate in the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship that will be played in Las Vegas from August 22 until September 2.
