I know that DJ Laconsay of MCU is being wooed to go to UE. Hoping it materializes for the guy, though he might just end up as a one-and-done

From what I heard, Laconsay got offers from NU and UE and still in talks with UP.

Hmm not exactly the blue chippers we all got used to up recruiting. I dont mean that as a diss to the filcans, the younger laconsay is good so is brendon but there's a reason they didnt latch on to any uaap/ncaa programs initially and payosing was a glorified role player so maybe its time for up to build up the upis program as a possible pipeline for the seniors team. Relying on transferees aint sustainable in the long run especially since other schools are starting to catch up when it comes to recruiting, not to mention how long remulla's power, influence and resources will hold in the ever changing political landscape of the country.

Dont think they need to, they have VAAS for the student athletes. Not sure just how it works tho, maybe our users from UP here can shed light to it.

OK, now I know that VAAS is the admission system. I thought that it's just the varsity scholarship, and they get priority in enlisting General Education subjects.

Marvin cruz, magi king and vj serios were my former classmates at educ, we have professors who hated athletes who got into up via vaas (they would humiliate the student athlete to the point that they would drop the subject)
