UAAP Season 88

  • Thread starter Thread starter Silent Killer2
  • Start date Start date
If he started season 84, season 88 should be his last right? This is gonna be his 5th year with la salle regardless, how many masterals is he planning on tacking?

he was a COVID reserve in 84, not counted on his playing year. barring his age, season 89 will be his last.

No sighting of Agunane? I guess dlsu fans’ wish of getting rid of a bad investment now fulfilled lol

Brody Brodett on Navs Podcast, Phenom Boys so far liking Chris Gavina and will probably stay. Looks like he and fil am nation has decided to set aside the rivalry and be buddy buddies now.

Who will DLSU's FSA be this year? Will we see Nwanko return or Agunane be retained?

Sir Sikat,

exactly.

that's the latest scoop that I've heard.

esp. to those who hasn't receive any D1 or D2 offers yet

the hint was the kids that are part of the last year NBTC Live games

and possible those who will join this year

imagine 45 teams from the US alone are confirming their participation on this years edition

with former NBA coach Byron Scott will mentored those hafu kids.

excluding Sir Dave's NZL and AUS teams, Canada and Europe squads

What about the other Cortez, Mickey/Mikey? He is an incoming freshman in college right?

Melencio has returned, but I think Mikey is still recuperating from ACL surgery. Denzel Dagdag from Xavier is a fresh recruit at DLSU.

Mikey has been instrumental for his high school team winning their league title just a few weeks ago. However, they got eliminated early in the state playoffs just recently (they're in the difficult Division 1 though)

He's been playing well. I think in terms of raw talent/skills, he's ahead of his bro Jacob coming out of high school. He even looks a lot like him now.

The leftover Fil-Ams at UE will likely be players who are between 5'10" and 6'3", XD. Players around 6'4" or taller will likely commit to bigger schools in the UAAP, unless UE offers them financial incentives. These leftover players just need an opportunity, and once they become successful, they may transfer to those big schools that didn’t offer them initially.

Nothing will change actually, unless UE decided to throw some money at last.

I don't think UE has the ability to get those blue-chip recruits from Fil-Am nation.

I have the same reservation when gavina was announced as head coach. Money will always be a factor unless the kid is already well off and just wants to play. The bigger names will almost always go to the bigger programs.
