Acido considering Ateneo? I think Ateneo is still a final four contender sir. But if they want to go all the way, they need to secure a quality big man.

Him and Tebol I heard attended some practices/scrimmages but we know where Tebol ended up

Maybe. Losing ballungay will hurt them big. He could have formed a solid partnership with bahay running the point. For me up and dlsu are still your finals contenders. While nu, adamson and ust possibly gutting it out for the final 4. FEU with its revamp could shock a couple more teams. Right now, i'm placing ateneo at 5th-6th at best. Team is gonna be very young, mosty composed of rookies and sophomores with only koon, quitevis, lazaro and espinosa returning from its last championship team.

Worried that Ateneo might use Bahay as a backup to Espinosa or as a shooting guard alongside him

I hope not. Who's gonna be PG1? Espinosa again? He's better coming off the bench, heck i even prefer nieto over him. Hope tab can fully maximiez the kid's potential, his team will really need it this year.

Espinosa wasn't part of the 16-man lineup that won Ateneo's last championship.

Speaking of Lazaro, I haven't seen him in the Pinoyliga games. He has the chance to get lots of minutes at the 4. He's got the tools, he just needs to be more assertive.

Balogun has not been impressive in the short time that he has played. I hope he improves exponentially before the season starts.

Oh my bad, so buffaloes lang pala talaga, so yeah, just confirmed my point, ateneo will be extremely young next season. I think theres an injury with lazaro, read it somewhere so maybe he's recovering. As for the fsa, would the team be better off if they stuck with godslove? Dude has been getting d1 offers last i checked.

^I thought godslove has already left Ateneo to pursue a D1 offer?

Yes, but he's still attending prep school in the states, so far has 4 d1 offers. Hence the question if ateneo chose him over balogun, would they have been better off.

Commited. Might enough for them to reach final 4 atleast. Although I think Femi might just be good so-so player. I don't think basketball in UK is elite.

Im not really sold yet on Femi Edu, for context I think Chico Briones faced better competition while in HS in the US that aided his development but he still is an off the bench player in UP. The good thing for Femi is he is still very young and if they play their cards right Ateneo can help him develop to realize his potential.

Yeah, he looks like a year or 2 a way from contributing to the team. And as with many of ateneo rookies, expect tab and the coaching staff to ease him in. As it is, bahay is prolly the most college ready freshman they've had in years. Crucial to ateneo's season will be the growth of mason amos, kyle gamber, and the rest of last year's rookies. How is kobe demisana doing? Is he already playing?

If they want another college ready player, they must secure Acido.

How many players straight from
HS in the philippines did tab really give significant minutes to.

Bahay will probably be the exception

For me, the last time i remember a rookie from hs with ateneo getting significant minutes was with kiefer ravena pa.

Looks like FEU will run most of their offense through VJ Pre. The kid is so good, hoping he’ll keep on improving and maybe he can be the “KQ” for FEU.
