Let's leave it at I trust my sources.

Far be it from me or anyone here to dox themselves and expose anyone else in the know.

Seriously??? Still expecting KQ to return to La salle? That's selfish. He'll leave, tama na ang utang na loob lol

Did you not backread? Everyone here said they expect him to leave.

But we all said that last year. Until he actually leaves, we cannot be too sure.

KQ is the type of player that doesn't like to rush and level-up as soon as he can. He was older than most in HS and started his college career at 21. Then even if there were already overseas pro offers he still didn't immediately bite. It's telling that he mentioned he doesn't want to have a slow start to his pro career, he's the type of player who doesn't want to work his way up from the bench.

At this stage, unless the team he chooses is loaded in his position, I think he can be an instant impact player at the KBL level.

Him expecting a baby probably had a big part on his decision to stay (until the birth). I also think he's smart enough to know that he should turn pro after this season. Lastimosa's experience should serve as a reminder.

At the risk of this sounding like a showbiz forum, I think Carl Tamayo also had a baby and yet decided to go pro early. Probably different circumstances and situations though.

EJ Gollena also recently became a dad is he going pro after this year?

I think his girlfriend has not given birth yet?

Regardless, the case of Quiambao and Tamayo are exceptions because they are in demand players. Not everyone who becomes a parent while in college will decide to go pro right away. See: Mark Nonoy for example. There’s also other players on other teams who are fathers already, including one in UP. They’re just private about it.

^ EJ confirmed his son's birth in Naveen's podcast. Hehe future teammate of KQ's son daw. Yes I guess you're right, he'll probably want to build his stock some more in the UAAP. All the best to the Gollenas I guess.

I guess the Ateneo men's football team didn't take that loss to UP well. They're up 3-0 against La Salle at the half.

I'm surprised La Sallle still played Phillips and KQ against NU. Although no one got injured, playing key players in no bearing games isn't a sound strategy.

Nnokura with another monster game for UP.
Remogat and Yniguez both struggled with their shots.

UP has attempted over 20 three-point shots so far against FEU and it's only the first half. IMO, if they're practicing what they need to improve for the final four, what they should practice is not their outside shooting but utilizing their big men (especially QMB) to score in the paint.

Edit: UAAP should really try not to assign commentators/analysts who are affiliated with any of the schools playing in the game. I hate it when they get Willy Wilson for DLSU games, and it's really painful to hear Nikko Ramos as commentator during UP games. There's a whole lot of other commentators and analysts out there, why can't they schedule this properly.

The worst was Diego Dario as the analyst during Game 3 last year. I mean poor guy was asked to even interview DLSU players after they won the championship, when I am sure he (as a former UP player) wasn't all too happy about the result.

I guess playing for 6(???) years in college makes you cold-blooded as JD Cagu? just kidding.

Careful, you might get called out by the UP fans here LOL. To be fair, he didn't play six years in college, but he should have been ineligible this year. In any case, his and UP's decision I feel did more harm than good to their program anyway.

I don't see any reason why UP would try hard to win their last game against UE. What for? It's the perfect opportunity to set up a final four clash between DLSU and UE.

UP's wings are all about trying to get theirs instead of feeding QMB and their bigs for easy buckets. Alarcon, Abadiano, and that midget Felicilda hero ball a lot. This will be UP's downfall in the Final Four.
