Good Day to All,

I just pass by and watch a few glimpse from afar

may someone share something on Aurelio Fransman and his teammates Edison Jordan, Craig Fongtong from ADU Jrs.?

Zane Kallos and YJ Lacsamana of ADMU Jrs.

I seldom watch Jr. games nowadays both from NCAA and UAAP

even though it's just a few minutes, I like what I saw so far

I haven't seen any(?) games on the mainstream and I think it's more on their exclusive platform

unlike the womens and mens game.

also someone whisper to me that some kids from UE Jrs. are impressive as well.

as for the otherside, I had a privilege to watch for the first time 15 yr. old(?) UPHD's Jr. Lebron Daep

that 6'5 kid is real

him and Carino is a must for the propose training pool for Batang Gilas U16 and U18 lineup

daep is around 17-18

UE is still undefeated..

Man, Louna's graduation was big. Ateneo punished UP through shooting, their bigs, and UP's fouls.

The last time a team scored below 40 in the UAAP.
September 25, 2019

NU 61-39 FEU

Whats up with the scoring on that ue-adamson game. Pretty atrocious box score. Both teams shot below 30%. First time i saw it, thought it was a half time graphic.

28 Points is the biggest winning margin against Ateneo in the Tab Baldwin era.

Ateneo should get a pass this season because they're essentially in rebuilding mode. Meanwhile, if La Salle beats UP again in the second round, La Salle will win the chip this year.

Why should they get a pass? Its on them that a lot of players left.

Dont you think Amos being KQs roommate was a big reason for him to shift schools? Tell me what they could have done with Padrigao better? I will fault them for one thing. This education BS. Athletes don’t go to Ateneo primarily because of education they go there primarily because of Tab. That is why CJ, Arvin and co. went there. Now they only get secondary tier players because who would want to risk losing a year or more of in game development because your grades are not high enough. What they do there is admirable. But stars don’t go there for education but to develop their basketball skills. Now they are having a hard time getting home grown stars.

No, Amos committed to DLSU a long time ago before FIBA experience which is when the news broke. There's photo evidence that he spoke with Mayor Zamora to talk about DLSU before FIBA too.

There was an Ateneo insider who claimed that Mason left because he left because Ateneo promised more allowance, the chance to play the wing among other things that never materialized.

Mason himself said he would have gone to DLSU because of his mom's ties with the school for college but Tab was persistence won him over. He initially only committed to Ateneo HS not college.

Amos aint the only issue here. 5 rotation guys left with years remaining. Kai, Mason, Geo, Jared and Gab. Thats a lot of guys and I think if they just kept half of them theyll be in a better spot. Even final four favorites. Im not privy to what happened but thats just poor roster retention.

CJ, Arvin and co. were recruited during the time of Bo Perasol, pre-Tab Baldwin.

Last season's team was good, but the lack of quality guard play was really evident from the get go ("points" guards instead of point guards in the roster). The Padrigao departure left a hole to big to fill for the remaining PGs in the lineup. I still think that last year's team, with Padrigao at the 1, would still be considered a finals contender (Ateneo won over both DLSU and UP during the season). Don't let the record fool you, I think 3 of their losses last season were to last second miracle shots (2 against FEU (1 for OT) and 1 against Adamson); their record could've just as easily been 10-4.

On the other hand, this season was over even before it even began. The early departures hurt because Ateneo lost a lot of size. But the most egregious departure was Amos, not just because of how good he is as player, but rather, also because of the timing of his decision. A big chunk of their preseason preparations got thrown out the window when he decided last minute to transfer out (he still joined the team in their Australia trip in June only to transfer out in July). Making matters worse, Balogun missed almost all of preseason due to injury (and he's just not that good right now) and Bahay joining the team late.

Hopefully, Ateneo bounces back next season with the continued improvement of core players and the addition of new recruits. I read that one of the reasons why Louie Alas was hired was to help in local recruitment (his son joining him later would also be nice catch).

Every great basketball program has to rebuild at some point. Did you actually expect Ateneo to win championships forever? lol

Heck, even La Salle had to wait for for someone like KQ to win another chip after Ben Mbala's departure.

You can rebuild but schools like Dlsu and admu can’t get last place on the standings. Heck they should always be decent

La Salle never sucked this bad. Even in the seasons they didnt made the final four they were a 5-7 win team and always remain in contention until the last playing date of the elims

And honestly, La Salle’s roster every season is always good enough to reach the final four. It’s the coaching instability and offcourt drama that causes their downfall. Now wittu coach Topex there appears to be a change in culture that will set them up for sustained success
