UAAP season 87

DLSU's shortening their rotation. I didnt see Rubico or Dungo play at all while Ramiro played sparingly. Topex realized that he can't let toy around with this game.

David's been more than capable to lead them.
 
UP's guards are the cause of the impending defeat. They all want to score rather than set up QMB. They are underutilizing QMB's post presence.
 
JD's presence is sorely missed. Alarcon gave them a chance in the 3rd qtr but the stability that their floor general provides is irreplaceable

feels like this has been always the issue with them, midget scorers playing hero ball
 
It is painful to see QMB seal his man and not get any pass from the UP guards. This is like Chot's Gilas, with the bigs just setting screens for the scoring guards.
 
UP won the rebounding battle by a huge margin in the first half.

DLSU stopped that and dominated the boards in the second half.

UAAP needs to fix their sked properly. Game is at "630pm" daw but it finishes at 10pm. Its "Filipino time" at its finest.

On a side note:
1) Is Nelle dating V. Gandler na? Pics circulating around soc med.
2) Whats the issue with the coaches earlier?

I feel bad for Alter. He had an excellent pre season, and now he plays limited minutes.

Also, Is Tolentino still eligible for next season? If yes, then he should be doing residency now right? Or another case of one and done?

I've been harping at this. It was advertised as 6:30PM but started 7:30PM.

UE - Adamson finished 6:30 PM but it really took them an hour to tip off the next game? I heard they only opened the gates to the ticket holders 20 mins prior to 7:30PM.

Whoever is in charge of production needs to hear this feedback: why not just adjust the schedule if you consistently start the 2nd game of a back to back an hour late?

No, Nelle is only friends with Vanie.

I wanna know why UP coaches started crying too. It seems they said something and DLSU coaches responded.

It didnt show in the television due to the banner blocking the view but UP coaches did something after the buzzer for the DLSU crowd to react negatively.
 
what a waste of talents for UP.. no system/structure for offense, no discipline, low basketball IQ.. if you are a good player and want a school that would best prepare you for a professional career, dont go to UP...

sorry i have to say that, it's not always that you can outmuscle or outpace your opponents to win..

On the broadcast, Boom mentioned something about "bodily fluids" (most likely, spit) which angered the UP bench. Probably someone spat on a player or something to that effect.
 
Biglang tapang yung tom chua nung iniwat. Lol

as a coach, he should be an example for the team.

Ive said this before but the UAAP should start serving its fans and start advertising tip off times. The MLB playoffs are starting and games are advertised at weird times like 6:38 since they know what the fans want to see is the game and not the pre show.

I see the same issue that coach gold led teams had still persists which is the lack of a really good system in place for the players to adapt into. This has been my critique to UP and its coaching staff since last year. Having quality players at every position will only get them as a far if they dont play the right way. Imo its really the defense and coach tom chua who's carrying the team. Thats why im really not in favor of gold handling the batang gilas team but wont be surprised if he's given the job
