UAAP season 87

  • Thread starter Thread starter Silent Killer2
  • Start date Start date
UE 70
Ateneo 59

Bungar 17 pts 7 rebounds
Okebata 11 rebounds 11 points

Kallos 13 rebounds 19 rebounds

Watch out on this kid goodluck Okebata because i heard his first sport was soccer and his uncle asked him tried basketball. I watched a lot of his game on jr MPBL and he has an excellent footwork. Last year he was only 5'11 and now 6'2 and only 14 years old.

UST has a lot of sorry players. They've missed easy buckets that Forthsky created for them. Kid must be exhausted for doing all that just for his teammates to miss

I wonder who is trying to get Sage Tolentino. He is a better QMB, has more moves.

I don't think he is better than QMB. He barely gets even a minute of playing time in not so-good program of Cincinatti and now he is transferring to an unknown (well, atleast for casual fans) US NCAA team Ashville which is most likely same as Cincinatti or worse.

QMB was averaging 23mpg with his 1st year. Ended his last playing year in USNCAA with 32mpg.

I mean based on the old videos, a 17-yr old Kai Sotto was dominating Sage. His 7' height is the only one that makes him look good.

Unless Dungo gets more PT, Bahay is a lock for ROTY.

While KQ is leading the MVP race by a large margin, it's hard to be "sure"given the amount of games he'll miss.

Will he miss games due to gilas?

UP's depth is really what's killing other teams. They just have way too many weapons in every position.

ADMU looking sorry as ever because bahay is the only one making things . Quitevis has 0 offense

I wonder what the Amos replacement will bring to their offense next year.

He can be their go to guy.

Perhaps it was the timing of the announcement and the shroud of mystery behind his recruitment but to me it seems lime a knee jerk reaction to the loss of Amos rather than a planned action to bring him along to bolster their roster. Hopefully, for Ateneo and maybe Gilas, Im wrong and he actually is good enough to be the go to guy

Can CTB gamble on a Bahay-Espinosa backcourt? because Quivetis-Espinosa duo is straight up garbage.

Oh hold on I just saw his highlights in the pre season for Ateneo, he looks impressive. He looks more agile than Amos. He blocks shots, can pass a little bit, has some back to the basket moves. Almost like a Lucero lite with how he plays. But I didnt see the sweet shooting that was implied with his 38% 3PT FG shooting. Perhaps it was on low volume of shots. Although we have to temper our expectations as it was against a non UAAP team who's players are much smaller and less athletic than he is.
