UAAP season 87

  • Thread starter Thread starter Silent Killer2

I think he would be a solid pro, but it will depend on who picks him and how that team utilizes him. He seems to have the skillset naman that modern bigs have. Good rim runner, solid finisher at the post, decent midrange shoot. Sound defensively. Great motor and seems to be one of the hardest workers out there in the court. He would always make a mark on me everytime my benilde blazers team face him since he's always the one stepping up and beating my team lol. Anyways how tall is he officially?

6'4 I think. I always think of Brondial, Cruz, Rios, Trollano, Ahanmisi and so on, they have been integral into their teams' rotations - even outlasting those from Ateneo and DLSU.

When you get to the pros, its all about understanding and executing your role. Not every one can be a starplayer. Thats most of the time its this role players who have a longer careers than the star player kind of players

I hope that Allen Perez and Jireh Tumaneng still choose Adamson in their seniors to address our lack of size. I also hope that Kobe Demisana will fit well in Adamson to address the lack of talent of the team outside Manzano. Lastly, Adamson should recruit an FSA in their junior's team and develop him for the senior's.

UP gets buried by Adamson by as much as 22 in the first half then proceeds to win by 12 while also leading by as big as 16. Remarkable 38-point turnaround by the Maroons.

Up just sent a terrible signal to its uaap rivals. A 22 point opposition lead cant kill it. The team had the focus to patiently whittle down that lead, until adamson despaired and went belly up.

FRom a coaching pov, this is up's best game ever.

All coaches are very fearful that their team may not have the character and gumption to recover from a very bad start. Im sure monteverde now will have a good night's sleep until the end of elimination rounds.

What? Schonny was already unstoppable in his first year and led DLSU in scoring with a line up that included Baltazar.

Yup. I think it was the 2nd year wherein he had problems with injuries and the coaching staff that led to him sitting out games

Hope you can develop Gab Demisana and Perez to be good Gilas prospects at 4/5. Gab has good instincts on defense, from what I saw in UPIS and the U18 team.

UE switches eveyrhing with ni Momowei and take a lot of 3’s. They really fine tuned their system as it was a mess during the start but kudos to them for trying stuff cause they are small

Seeing the Adamson meltdown earlier really hurts. We can and can't - we can make strides because of Nash and the coaching staff and we can't because of the obvious scarcity of talent in the team. On the brightside, I think that there are many Gilas prospects in UP right now.

Oh don't get me started with this. He was never injured. His dad schemed to leverage this for a higher allowance. That's why the DLSU management yelled at him and didn't invite him to their bench during their final game of the season.

QMB is the DPOY really good defensive IQ and the best screener and rebounder in the league. He’d be a great role player in international games

I'd rather him than Mike Phillips for Gilas. He's a legit 6'10 dude that's solid all around. If possible to get both, why not.

Same for me but he seems like a harder sell to fiba. Mike Philips was here since 2019. If they applied as soon as hes done with Uaap theyd probably grant it

personally think Chua is a better negotiator than Vargas or Panlilio, so hopefully he can finesse around with FIBA

So i guess the 1st game is the marquee matchup/main event since watching a game past 9pm is such a burden!, especially live on a sunday/weekday

John Abate is legit. He looks like he'll have a very long pro career.

Meanwhile, NU's chances for a Final 4 are dwindling. Perhaps the loss of their FSA affected them mentally too. They were without him for most of the game during their game against DLSU but still kept it competitive. But now, they're losing to teams they should beat.

gotta agree here. This is both UP’s ugliest game and most badass win so far. I thought Nash Racela did a good job scouting UP.

UP dug deep, waited for the law of averages to take effect, went for the kill and then some.

UP guards also showed why Tab calls them the deepest in the league

Having no FSA is the biggest handicap there is. Momowei is not scoring much but he he plays the a lot of minutes impacting defense a lot and even the attention on scoring. Unless you have a QMB or maybe Mike Phillips you dont really have a decent matchup unless you have an FSA.
