Guys, what is the potential of Jacob Bayla becoming a legit shooting guard for Gilas in the future. As I've said before, I want to keep a distinction between the shooting guard & the small forward positions although both are considered wing positions. I noticed Bayla seems to be improving his outside shooting. But what about his handles? What about his defense?

Bayla is a legit guard at 6'5. Most of our tall guards like him are converted (used to play as big men). He moves well, is athletic and skilled.

His defensive effort is the icing on the cake. Key for him is to continually "play up," right now he is young for UAAP so he is still getting pushed higher and is in a good situation. However, once he becomes good enough for overseas pro (or even go to D1) he should make the move.

He needs to be playing against SGs his size who are also athletic and skilled to really fast track his Gilas consideration. He's a perfect candidate for next man up for Dwight.

I don’t necessarily believe it’s a height thing, Kevin durant is tall for example but he’s able to get low, I just think he doesn’t have the flexibility to get lower without losing balance maybe. In the uaap since he’s bigger he’ll be able to bully his way through but at higher levels I think it won’t be as easy

Yep that's why the term is getting "lower" not actually being shorter. KQs ability to shoot is also key because with that threat he can get defenders upright and then do his move. Just like how KD is so effective even with his height.

I think QMB is not FIBA-eligible. It is Kamaka Hepa whom they say is FIBA-eligible. I just don't know how true & accurate that is about Hepa.

Between QMB & Hepa, I think mas may potential yung Hepa in my opinion.

QMB will do a chris newsome.. QMB has higher chance of becoming fiba local than holt, barefield..

The abc 5 coverage of uaap lol, why do you want to broadcast games late at night

Yep the new sked sucks. Its late na, then they start "Pinoy time" pa.

We used to watch big games live then eat dinner right after. But now (ex.dlsu vs ateneo) its sked at 630pm but tip off is almost 7pm na. Then the game will finish around 9pm.

As dumb as it sounds . The Amos transfer recruitment is the one that didnt really involve money. Cortez, Baclaan, Remogat, Bahay All were money based but i get why its controversial

Ohhhh. I read it here that ADMU and Tab failed to provide some things that were promised like training and playing perimeter.

He also said in an interview he would have chosen DLSU had it not been Tab's persistence.

Sage Tolentino should provide excitement next year if rumors prove to be true.

Amiel acido barely playing. Not much minutes compared to gojo cruz in perps

19 to 6 3rd quarter for Adamson. Should UST fire Pido?

someone said here that Adamson will finish dead last this season. i beg to disagree. for as long as nash is with us, Adamson will always be in the final 4 contention because we have one thing that works for us - unpredictability.
