The sample size of Two uaap games and three FIBA games isn’t that far apart . Given reps and mins. That was months ago and it was a small sample size albeit against tougher competition. We're looking at his progress in the UAAP. I'm certain he'll get even better with his work ethic.
Any news on NUs fsa injury?
Is he done for the szn?

During that crucial moment against NU where he consecutively scored, he attacked the rim for a layup. The higher level he plays in, I think his one-handed push shot will be more useful than going all the way to the rim. He gets good ball control with those big hands.
Most of the time, driving to the rim is about who can get "lower." It's easier to blow by defenders if you can get your shoulders lower than theirs. Since KQ is big for our standards where we have short players in the perimeter, he isn't blowing by people with ease. Backing down these smaller players or just rising over them is more efficient. When they do put a bigger guy on him, he usually has the ability to blow by them.
His handles are not elite though. That's why I think best fit for him is a system that doesn't over-dribble. Systems that use movement without the ball and passing which is one of his forte.
Just as I thought, UP's bigs will be challenged by stronger, more skilled big men. Too bad there's only one Momowei for UE.
So far, UE Gani Stevens > UP Gani Stevens. He and Alter are most affected by QMB's one-and-done year.
UP got complacent and put too many players that had no business on the court. When UE was trying to make a comeback, UP inserts QMB and swats Momowei's shot right away. QMB could've dominated more if not for early foul trouble.
UP's depth was tested because Udodo only played six minutes due to foul trouble

It was QMB who got into foul trouble. He got two quick fouls in the first quarter.

QMB is a game changer. He's the type of player that dominates the game without scoring. As UP's bench faltered what was almost 30 pt lead, he got inserted back in the line up and he's proceeded to get a hand on the ball of every rebound and altered all the shots at the rim.
Here's to hoping he plays for Gilas.
