But he did not mention AdU or UE?
He said that in terms of depth and quality, UP's Team A = DLSU's Team A (personally don't agree yet with equating those two with UST Team A though).
So you are right, it is a sliding scale. But still, UP's Team A = DLSU's Team A. And I'd argue that DLSU's Team B > UP's Team.B. if you think that the 12th to 16th man of DLSU won't make team A of UP, then let's just beg to disagree. But I think DLSU is just as deep as UP.
Then if you look at their incoming players (Remogat for UP, Pablo, Baclaan for DLSU), you'd see that LaSalle recruited just as much as UP, if not more. This is not to say that UP did not overrecruit, but that if UP did, so did LaSalle. Let's just call a spade a spade. At the end of the day, the players still agreed to go to the said schools. If we argue that their are offers that are too good to decline, then that means the players themselves knew about the risk of not being utilized. Let's not act as if UP or DLSU forces these players to play for them.
dlsu had to replace graduating players. UP’s 12-16 players are proven to be too good to bench and have played in the final 4 etc.
