Watching this game and there is really no value to adding Escandor on this team. Slow on defense, and for someone whose value is supposedly shooting, he can't make open shots on a consistent basis.
The guys I named above (Manuel, Macalalag, Estacio and Buensalida) are not in the DLSU Fil-Oil line-up? Looks like their spots are indeed shaky.

Both can be true. I didn't watch the game but from what I remember he likes to lunch terrible shots (which is good if they're going in) but he's a good playmaker if he decides to.

In Topex's system he'll get angry if you don't take the shot. Also its the preseason and its more important for La Salle that Nelle finds his offense at the moment.

i get them wanting to replace wilson. never understood tho why they chose a one and done. doing so does not promote development and continuity.
the situation is so frustrating considering how things were looking bright after last season. stevens had a commendable rookie year while remogat seems to be poised to be their go to guy. wouldve been exciting to see them with their grad transfer jack cruz, a tall 6'2 guard who has a decent shot and could play the 1 or 2.

Hopefully, all the other schools are paying attention. Getting a one-and-done American FSA which is basically like getting a dominant import for one conference is very risky. You're basically getting a full-grown man (around 25 years old) who is expected to be team Alpha despite being new to the team and at the same time play winning basketball.
It can work if you get lucky and get a Jimmy Butler type. If not, you just threw a wrench on your overall development.

i dunno if the filoil list i saw is final but it's practically the old team A guys plus the new filfors (sans Jackson and Gamber). Kobe, Celis, Asoro and the kid from Xavier (Tan?) not in the filoil lineup.
